Re: Blanks in panel

I didn't like the look of the blanks in the dash so I popped them out and put in some extra defrost switches. There is no harness for the switches but the graphics on the panel do light up.

Cool another Ontario boy. Beautiful colour and it looks to be in great shape. What are your plans for it?

Hey Dean. Have you considered talking to that Sean guy in Newmarket who has all the XR's to see if you could get a shell from him?

Re: Transmission support bracket for Scorpio

If you don't mind shipping to Canada, I'll take it. I'm redoing the driveline on my Scorp and this is really the last piece I need. If you PM me we can get the details worked out.

Thank you

Re: Windshield Wipers

The arm may have just loosened up a bit. There is a little flip up cover where the arm meets the splined shaft and you'll see a nut there. Try tightening that nut just a wee bit and see if that makes a difference.

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki

Those hinges do carry enormous loads as it is on a large piece of agricultural equipment. Thanks for the compliments, it means a lot. Well, that's a seed drill, so are you fabricating an extra wide drill? If so, you must farm a lot of acres. Just curious as I'm a farmer myself but I'm more livestoc...

Scorpio Thermostat

In trying to figure out some minor issues with my Scorpio I tested the thermostat and it opens as it should but I noticed that it does not completely close and there is just the slightest gap when it cools down. So I can assume then that this thermostat is no f-ing good? It would certainly explain t...

Re: opinions wanted

These are the three pieces of advice I give to everyone who buys a project car; 1) Get the suspension and brakes done before you start throwing more power down. Nothing scarier and as unsafe as a stupid fast car that can't corner or stop. 2) Get the engine running properly before you start modding i...

Congrats. They are fun cars if done right. I live 5 minutes outside of Kitchener part of the week and although I don't have as many spares as Mike I could probably help you out with some stuff. I also have an extra shop manual on a CD if you want it.
