Re: Double Black 88 W/C4 and every upgrade
She’s sold! The new owner got a smoking deal for a great car, 20 years of fun, somebody else’s turn. Hope to see Chris on the MCA forum!

Perfect or don’t bother, lol! Easier than doing it twice. But I couldn’t have done it without all the help from the forums.

Re: WTB - an XR4TI stick or automatic
Check my ad 88 Double black and it’s in Pa. I used to drive it to work every Monday from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh to open the store at 8 AM so it has no issues.

Double Black 88 W/C4 and every upgrade
I don’t have enough parking spots so I must thin the herd. Engine was professionally rebuilt, new pistons, rods, Boport cam, fully ported head, 120 degree upper, big turbo, bob’s log, eec-tuner, Mike’s aluminum rad and intercooler, Scorp seats heated with power, working A/C w/R134, front Tbird brake...

Re: Seats, right to left swap
Quote: “What took so long to swap Scorpio into xr? Tracks, heated seat and/or seat & backrest electric adjustment?” All the above, plus 90% of the hog rings had to come out to install the aftermarket adjustable seat heaters correctly. Some very strange differences from left to right seat track. ...

Seats, right to left swap
I took a good right Scorpio seat and converted it to drivers seat to replace a worn out one. It took five hours including aftermarket seat heaters. It was not easy but if you know how to do seats it is possible. Lots of things to change, everything is completely apart by the time you’re done. I love...

Blower motor resistor repair
If your blower only works on high it may be the resistor pack which is accessed from under the hood on top of the blower motor assembly. The thermal fuse goes bad. I found them on line cheap and took some pictures for reference. Taking out the old one is hard. I used a hardened pick to open up the c...

Re: Fixed leaking power steering pump/reservoir
Easy fix, remove the lower hose, unscrew the pressure fitting on the side with an 11/16 wrench. Remove reservoir, replace large o-ring on pump and two small o-rings on the control valve that is accessible after you removed the pressure line as shown in the directions. Coat sealing area of reservoir ...

Fixed leaking power steering pump/reservoir
Rock auto sells the O-ring that holds the reservoir onto the pump body and they also sell a kit with the plastic reservoir and O-ring. The O-ring just needs to be replaced, very easy job and no more spot on the floor.

Haha, welding isn’t the only way, lots of cars have no welds. BMW loves rivets and bonding. Opinions are not facts.

Replaced rusted rockers, quieter interior
I replaced the outer rocker panels and patched the floor area which was completely gone next to the rocker on both sides. The driver side was worse. I purchased the panels from Fixmyrust.com, good quality part made in Denmark. After replacing them the interior is much quieter. I assume it’s because ...
