PCV valve hooked up and working? The pvc valve i have is for the newer valver cover, i am using the older valve cover that says 2.3 turbo. The pvc does not fit into the vavle cover. Its all there, but not hooked up. I DO have the newer cover that fits with my pvc, I can swap it out no problem.... B...

Is the coolant ending up in the oil, or just disappearing? Anything under the redline is considered "ok" for temp readings (as long as it's working properly.) i had an early 86 where the gauge would climb all the way to the top before the fans kicked on... it always worried me... but that'...

You can get at the dizzy hold down bolt w/a 17mm wrench through the front of the engine... or a shallow 17mm socket on a long extension between the fuel rail, and alternator. Don't touch the alt. wire with your extension. :oops:

I'd say your wastegate itself (not the actuator) is sticking.
Pull the actuator arm off, and see if it swings freely.

both of those seems like more work that just the 3 bolts to remove the pwr steering pump. i might consider that though. how often does the tfi have to be replaced on these cars? that might make my decision easier on what route i take. btw, thanx for the info For me, that's easier than messing with ...

i have the tfi but i havent put it in yet. i need to get a pulley remover so i can take off the pwr steering pump to gain access to fit my socket in there. unless theres a better way. It's a 5.5mm deep for sure.
They do make a few special styles for the specific job. I have a thumb wheel one that's my favorite.
