Bob had several options: stock location, center location, EGR/no EGR fitting, ceramic coatings, etc. Might help to know which one this is. Thanks.
Picture in the link shows stock location no EGR. Can't tell on coatings.

Re: XR vs. Scorpio Inner Tie Rods

Since you have those out any chance you could verify the thread pitch and diameter on those? I've been looking at some drift spec tie rods from Australia but they may end up being the cockford-ollie for the you Scorpio guys who can't buy factory fresh. https://www.enjukuracing.com/products/gktech-m1...

Re: Differential Front seal

Not really, A little PB blaster, a breaker bar and a pry bar between two bolts threaded back into the flange.

While you're in there a little PTFE thread sealant on the splines of the pinion will prevent any potential future leaks through the nut which is why I had to do it.

Cheers!

Re: Differential Front seal

Super easy. If you're worried about bearing preload, don't cause there's an inner nut that handles that.

Re: Eliminate Marker Lights

You'd be best to check with some people in your area first and see if thats legal. Marker and clearance lighting is mandated by the NHTSA but your state may not care as much as some others.

Re: Throttle Shaft Seals

Well if 123bearing has them priced that low then I feel there's either a material error or a pricing error but anybody in France should jump on it if it's a pricing error, just for comparison sake my local supplier has the 6mm height seal in FPM and it's crazy and would be overkill for our applicati...

Re: Throttle Shaft Seals

And that's reasonable. I just took waaaay to much time looking into this and without being a seal expert I can say I wouldn't hesitate to use the AVX seal in my own application. Below you can see the profiles, HMS4 is what the 3970 is and while AVX doesn't list according to SKF nomenclature their TC...

Re: 1985 Ford XR4ti Merkur -Group A Touring Car

Very much agree! Interesting also how many XR4Ti racers did the “crisscrossed” IC tubes. Almost certainly that has to do with homologation. They probably weren't allowed to rotate the inlet due to homologation or didn't want to go through the process of homologating a rotated intake knowing the Cos...
