The thing that is probably best gleaned from this thread: Option 1) T-Bird mounts modified to fit. Cheapest and probably the best vibration dampening. Great for all things stock. Requires a little bit of modification. Option 2) Chucks mounts. Should not need replacing in my lifetime, but you pay mor...

I used their stuff to redye the interior on my Eldorado. It was a significant amount of work, but MUCH cheaper than replacing the leather.

I chased a vibration in my Scorpio for months. Changed tie rods, control arms, bushings, even the sway bar.

Problem was the rack.

Back to the topic at hand.... Bottom line. If a product tells you to use gloves, eye protection and a well ventilated area, don't use it. Best way to clean leather is a 50/50 mix of distilled water and rubbing alcohol. Just spray and wipe. When done condition with a product that contains ingredients...

I have a set of ebay ones on my car. The do stop better than stock.

I've hammered them pretty hard at the track and don't see any signs of cracking or warping. I also drive about 3k a month so they get used.

Don't buy the brake pads, they are junk. Buy EBC Greenstuff.

Are you talking about an aftermarket deflector? Or the little rinky dink one that is part of the Scorpio sunroof?

You would have to change the whole sunroof if you want the factory one. It is not a straight swap, you have to do a couple of things. Not really worth the trouble if you ask me.

On 89's the pusher fan has a thermal switch. Some 88's were the same way depends on build date. The one overpriced part that I strongly recommend is a ford thermostat. The cheap stant ones don't flow enough. Last I checked Rapido was about the only place to find them. It REALLY makes a difference in...

A solid mount on the upper is a bad idea.

The rubber isolators are a cheap easy replacement. The radiator needs to have flex in the mountings so that when the body flexes you don't break the plastic tanks.

You have to drill out the rivets. Problem is they are hollow rivets and unless you have the right tool you can't replace them. I had to use glue to hold it in place until the bolts where put though the holes.

Why do you need to replace yours?

Understandable actually.

I am using ARP studs which are quite a bit longer than stock. I was not comfortable with the number of threads holding my wheels on. With the ARP studs I have about 1/2" of stud protruding out of the nut.

I feel much better now :)

Can you post a picture of how the audio connectors are done in the rear? As for the climate control, you will probably need a harness with the sensors for the climate control. I am getting ready to dismantle a car. I will look into what it would take to separate the climate control harness from the ...

I had that problem with my XR. Turned out to be the ECT sensor. The ECU thought the engine was running too hot and was going into survival mode. New sensor cured the problem. Problem was found by using a breakout box and checking the values of each of the sensors when the car was acting up. Very muc...

Most aftermarket wheels have a large center bore. The idea is to use hub rings to make them hub centric. The wheels on my car were bought used. They were originally specked for an Audi. Only drawback is to fit properly I had to add 5mm spacers. Here is a pic: http://bstnw.com/files/NewShoes.jpg Spac...
