Man... good luck to those planning on attending Carlisle.
This time last year, I was booking my airBNB for SEMA in November. This year, I'm even on the fence for that.

Re: Scorpio Headlight Failure
Mac, have you tested your alternator? As Ed said, it could be overcharging.
Does the battery/charging light illuminate when the car is key on/engine off?

Yes, the imperfect paintjob is imperfect. Karl himself has acknowledged the imperfection and made his intentions to repair it known. Do we need to keep picking apart the car?

Re: Cutting in hood vents
Lay some painter's tape over the surface where you'll be cutting, measure twice, then cut with a cutoff wheel (think 3in diameter, 1/32 thick,) and make sure to dab paint on the exposed steel at the edges to prevent corrosion.

I took a similar, but more complete approach. Best upgrade I ever performed on my XR4Ti.DPDISXR4Ti wrote:X2.hEaT wrote:I'll put my money on the signal stalk.

You're probably right. My mind wouldn't even allow me to entertain the notion that someone would spend $15,000 for a parts car.

Re: Rust-bucket Porsche 1971 911T goes for $15,100
I think a lot of Porsche guys tend to get turgid and do silly things when they see an early, long-hood car selling for less than the cost of a modern Kia, regardless of condition. Imagine how quickly that $15,000 car would turn into a $30,000 car if you had to pay someone to patch all that tinworm. ...

Kind of cool, but many of the car's features, such as the multimeter fuel level gauge, could've been accomplished in a correct fashion with an equal or lesser amount of effort. It's like he went out of his way to half-ass it. Here's a really cool RX7: http://www.superstreetonline.com/features/sstp_1...

That Ranger is all kinds of badass. Pinto is sweet, too.
What's with the "MAP Approved" watermark on the first two images? I'm about an hour from their shop - a force to be reckoned with in the Minnesota performance car arena.

I like my lifetime-registration/one-time-fee Collector registration. No ugly tabs on the plate, no front plate requirement for Collector classes. Viva la Minnesota!
