Re: Merkur Depot Radiator and Intercooler Install (Lots of pics)

The round box is a vacuum reservoir for your air doors and such, so if that's missing, then you want to be sure that the lines are capped, so you have no leaks. Either one is perfectly good for a BPV, yes.

Re: Ford Scorpio Ultima Cosworth

:dunno Agreed, and as I've read that the Cologne V6 can be modified for more power fairly easily, it would seem that the 24 valves would yield quite a bit over that...

Jeeze, I always thought that any Ford that bore the Cosworth badge should be saved but there really is an exception to every rule.
Well, definitely some great parts, like the drivetrain, including the diff. In fact, a Cossie Scorpy Frankensteined with an XR would be badass!

Hi all,

Is this better at first then doing the differential mount?

Cheers.
What kind of shape are they in? If you need both, you need both. Check out your trans mount, guibo, and CSB while you're at it.

Re: LF: Parts vendors in here please.

Mine's not stock, for sure; with the Mounts, shorter springs, different shocks, 16" wheels, some uprated bushings (esp the diff mount), 3" exhaust (trying to keep to the mods which might affect NVH in particular)... quite frankly, when all is said and done, there's no way to turn back the clock... s...

Re: LF: Parts vendors in here please.

Well, I do recall the ride (and thank you again), and yes, your car ran beautifully and smoothly. 8) I guess I'm an oddball that runs both Chuck's Mounts (with the NLA softer durometer bushings, mind you) and the braces, too. I accept a bit more "tingle" at and off idle for a motor which sits solidl...

Re: LF: Parts vendors in here please.

FWIW-- and it ain't much-- in my experience, if you stiffen up the bushings and such, their ability to attenuate vibrations and flex is reduced, such that you may then notice them more elsewhere. Anytime you change something here , you affect something else over there . The starter Y brace, for exam...

Wow, you sure you don't have those numbers backwards? 350/650 would be a stiff F/R setup...

Yeesh. I know, aesthetics are objective, but I always thought the Scorpio/Granada a fairly handsome car, and then then they did this to it. :puke

Each of you have NVH Engineering degrees hanging on your walls?
Dead nuts on. Not only does it help with NVH, which you may or may not care about, but it structurally stiffens and strengthens the drivetrain at that point. How can that not be a Good Thing?

Scroll up: the OP asked about removing the bolt on his C3.

YMMV
That won't work with the C3 in park?...
Of course it will. Turn the key, the starter engages, the crankshaft rotates exactly the same, regardless of transmission type (as long as it's in N/P).
