Re: XR4ST

Nice going! I have this engine in my FiST, and even bone stock, it's very potent, really moves the car. Props for innovation and execution, looks terrific in there! :headbang

Good catch, looks like they've been using that lamp assembly undisturbed for the past 30 or so years.
Good for us, yet I look at that now and wonder why they haven't gone to LED's... how silly that anyone building cars in the late 2010's is still using incandescant light bulbs!

Saturate the market, crackhead prices....
Doesn't take much to "saturate" this "market." Clearly, others disagree, and are voting with their dollars.

Five years isn't too bad, especially given the dizzying pace of the industry in general.

The mc2racing diff mount works great with the XR4Ti's noodle ARB, as well as the 3-door Cossie ones. Glad you were able to achieve a solution:

Re: How many of you have swapped in a C4 auto?

I know you can upgrade the C3, but you're still left with a too-high revving car for my taste. I think the C-3 was a bad choice for the XR, but I don't know what alternatives there were in the early 80s when the US conversion was being developed. Even the Scorpio was getting a new tranny for 1990 w...

I have one of a roof-mounted antenna that was originally meant for cell reception back in the day. While it fits for the era of the XR, I'll probably replace it with a shark-fin one soon.

It has been a long long time since I owned an XR, but I do not recall needing to manually close the dash vents if I didn’t want dash air.
That's been the case on every XR I've owned (all have needed manual closure).

To each his own, call me crazy, etc; but I'm pretty sure that whilst furiously cranking open my sunroof, driving, shifting, and so forth, I've never said to myself, "Gee, I'm sure glad I don't have to just push a button for this!" :dunno
