ahh, the million dollar questions...it reads different everytime. I'me gonna put some 93 into it and see what happens. I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

thanks guys. I have a local guy helping me this week. The pump does work b/c i here it prime. We'll see what happens, i imagine its something rather small that i am over looking.

Here's the low down. Its an 86 XR and we relocated the battery to the back, but had trouble starting the car and had troubel keeping the battery charged. Well I charged the battery all night and the car started, then started afew hours later but wouldnt start after that. So I moved the battery back ...

Being that they are all covered heavily with tar, they might have been put there to allow for the tar to spread/lay evening. Instead of forming weird shapes the tar would simply fill in the cracks. Just thought of it..probably not even close to right and I can think of reasons why.

LOL, i have noticed that. Look at the pics post i have...theres a good page of arguing about those little vents. Fun place!

Wow, they are an odd little thing..but we will be covering them in our car for rust, animal and road noise reasons.

Got some more work done today, but none worth busting the camera out. Started to work heavily on the foot rests and up behind the lower dash.

Thanks guys...this had nothing to do with being able to say i have an EVO turbo or the fact that i thought we needed a big turbo...its semi cheap, semi local and has little miles on it...which seemed like enough reasont o ask. Turns out it probably wont be worth it to try and make it work..which is ...

yes I am aware of that, but with a friend and shop owner who has put a 2.3t into a datsun 210 with frankenstein parts and a great ability to fabricate that is something that can be over come.

It is almost brand new and local...so thats a big selling point right now

A semi local guy is selling a stock EVO MR turbo...does anyone know anything about these turbo's? Our merkur's turbo is toast and I thought this might be a good pick-up being that stock EVO's boost right around where we want to run our boost. I think they are considered 16g's, but they are the bigge...

WE're not sure what we'll do. We will check for rust and go from there. either way it will be getting covered with something both top and bottom ro help prevent any more rust issues. Thanks again for pointing that out..i'm still in amazement that we have been over every inch of that floor and never ...

Thats just tar that has not been removed. The florr of this car is very clean and straight.

I dont see the damage you are talking about? I've seen almost every inch of the inside of this after this removal and dash swap. Can you give me some better details of what you are seeing?
