Re: Valve Stem Seals

Well, that tool is simply not available anymore. Not the KD Tools version, not the Sealey version, not no version. Based on your experience, do you think this alternative approach would work? https://www.amazon.com/OTC-4573-Universal-Overhead-Compressor/dp/B000F5HUUI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=15174467...

Oh, now I get it. http://www.turbododge.com/forums/attachments/turbo-iii/16839d1131073936-valve-spring-compressor-use-off-car-im002695-600x402.jpg So that thing removed the retainer, then pliers for the seal. Re: Helloooo! My car wont start.

Cheap way to see if your alternator is charging enough:

Walmart has a fine automatic battery maintainer (Battery Tender is a brand) made by Schumacher, a leading battery charger company, for around $20.

Re: Fan switch size

The two wires are for the relay ground which the fan switch completes internally (via a snap disc) at the set temperature.

As I noted earlier.

Got one of those; use it for balancing carbs on my Corvairs, and motorcycles.

Did you also use it on those '67/68 APCs in Nam...?

The OEM XR fan switch uses a snap disc inside which completes a ground circuit when the set temp range is reached.
