Re: New car! Focus ST
Nice pickup! Any questions, shoot me a message :cheers Looks like an ST2 package car with moonroof? Yes sir! St2 with blue/black seats and moonroof. I'm EXTREMELY pleased with the ST2 seats, they fit the buck in every sense. It's also nice that the back seats are mostly leather so that when the kid...

Re: New car! Focus ST
Took her up to the dealership today. Looks like a new steering rack is going to be installed! Keeping my fingers crossed that this solves the issues!

Re: New car! Focus ST
I'm fairly certain mine is going back in next week to have the steering looked at. After a few minutes of highway driving, when you make small corrections coming off center, the steering wheel "gives" and jumps to the direction you were correcting towards. Then you quickly try to make anot...

New car! Focus ST
Just picked her up today! I'm digging it so far, it's just going to take some adjusting to get used to that electric power steering assist! http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g120/turboplz/WP_20140203_0031_zpse7792a22.jpg Still have the XR in the garage. I think I'm going to do a modular swap over th...

Re: 2013/2014 Focus St owners...
My build is dead average, 5'11" 170lbs and I felt the seats were quite comfortable...I see it being a bit more of an issue for my wife though as she has more to love on than me  I might try and find one that has the partial leather Recaros, those might be a good compromise. What is the is...

Re: New member/owner with vavuum line questions.
I know for sure the vacuum hose that attaches to the clutch pedal is for cruise control. It should not make a hissing (vacuum) sound when you depress the clutch, so most likely the "block" (for a lack of a better term) that the vacuum hose plugs into is damaged. I do not believe there is a...

2013/2014 Focus St owners...
I'm about to pull the trigger on a new 2014 Focus ST and curious about the real-world feedback from members on here that have one. I've test driven a full blow-ST3 optioned one and loved the Recaro seats, but I'm not sure if they will be more of an annoyance on any trip more than 30 minutes. I'm als...

Re: Turbo to Manifold
You guys are lucky to find those gaskets locally! No one local has them in stock (a couple specialty places do, but they want nearly $20). Are you telling the parts guy you have a merkur? Or an 88 thunderbird turbocoupe? Any autozone will carry felpro parts. If not, they can get it within a day. I'...

Re: Turbo to Manifold
I've reused them before, some have been fine, some leaked. If they surfaced the turbo flange then you should probably get a new one, but if it wasn't touched, most likely you will be fine. **Didn't see your second post before I posted. Since it is a different flange altogether, you should definitely...

Re: Start hard when cold, but when warmed up no problem
It is most likely the ECT. It sounds like the fuel enrichment is off in the extreme cold. The ECT plays a large factor in enrichment, typically the colder the temps get, the more it will show itself by hard start/rough running until warmed up.

Re: what Ford rear calipers are people using?
Has anyone looked into the Explorer/Mountaineer rear calipers? They are decently sized and extremely abundant in the junkyards or auto parts store. I should have done measurements when I changed all my pads a couple months ago on my mountaineer.

Re: EGR ok to block here?
Yup, that's where people usually block off. I've done the coke can thing as well as made up a block off plate. Both worked just fine.
