I had a similar issue, i found out the cylinder to my passenger side drum brake was gone. Check the wheel cylinders, replace if need be. Make sure you bleed the whole system properly. Check for leak. Then if your still squishy (lol) and stumped, check your master cylinder.

It's pretty normal if you've done some harsh driving, or long driving. Though if your timing is off, the turbo and manifold can glow way quicker (more or less 5 minutes of just idling) than when the timing is correct.
