Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
What size / offset are your rims? Also are you running Scorpio LCA's or stock? If the Scorpio set up, what did you have to do to make it work? I've got DG's camber / caster plates sitting in the garage right now along with the install tool. Just need to find the time to install them. GPz11, I know ...

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
They definitely nice cars once they have a few little things worked out. The car's spring rates are matching the amount of grip I have to a tee. I see what your saying about third however I'm not 100% sure that is the reason on my end, it overheats at the track even quicker and too me it is all abo...

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
You have a T5 in your XR now right? Ratio's? Ben Ben, how are things? You are correct, T5. However I don't know ratios as the PO put the transmission together way back. I know the ratios are swapped around some, top of second gear is like ~54mph @ 6800rpm. Then I have the 3:73? rear diff as well. T...

I'll save one for you.timxr8 wrote:Ben, will you have any of the pieces to weld in late October/early Nov when I get back? Not a big deal if you don't, I can probably just make my own, but would like something easier to work with.

Re: Power Steering Rack De-Power (or Rebuild)
So has anyone done this on a ZF rack? Any notable differences than what's listed here?
I have one and it's great, just a better feel through the steering wheel, A little hard to steer on grid but other then that works great and saves 12 lbs off the front of the XR...

Re: DSP to SM build
So after installing this rear beam reinforcement kit I had to re-corner weight my XR because it was way off, Crazy? set the alignment just like I've always have and off I went to the next event. I can't believe how the XR handles now, I should have put a go-pro on the rear suspension before and afte...

Re: DSP to SM build
So Ok my last post was talking about buying a new turbo but I love aha moments. For life of me I couldn't figure out why it felt like I lost power but then thinking that maybe I'm getting the XR really hook up out of the turns and laying down some fast times. So today I said let me just look at the ...

Re: DSP to SM build
Hopefully I'll have an opinion on the Borg Warner 6258 soon. Joe Kolomyjec already does. It's killing me to still be racing the Focus ST while the CP XR is so close to being ready (yet so far). I was able to hang around impound for no good reason this weekend at the Match Tour. Robert Lewis' '65 Mu...

Re: DSP to SM build
So I ran my XR at this last event in Oakland and what a feeling, I believe at this point that the beam has been move the whole time I've had it to this level, I now have 2 more stock beams that I'm going to work on and do the same thing because this is big. My goal is to have 2 on hand, one for sale...

Re: DSP to SM build
Or if you can make the metal parts, would you sale me the templates? I can make the metal parts, I just don't want to get my rear apart and then get my car on stands for many days while I am making the templates and then the actual parts and get them weld it. I will be upgrading my rear but I want ...

Re: DSP to SM build
I'll get some sets of beam reinforcement parts cut for you all later next week, the only thing is you guys will have to make the adjustment to the plates to make them fit just right. I just finish up my beam and installing it now, finding out some little details about the beam reinforcement after ev...

Re: DSP to SM build
Can you have 2 sets of the beam reinforcements? I will pay you for them of course. Let me take pic and send them to you first and you can see what I'm doing first and how I'm making the beam reinforcement pieces before you say "I'll pay you for them" I have 2 beams here now and they're bo...
