Re: Aftermarket emergency hand brake handle?

Yeah, my car is pretty over the top. But I don't do enough racing to justify that thing.

I'm in the Cornwall area again. I'll let you know when I'll be up for a visit. I have some bugs to work out first.

Re: Thermostat housing

I bought the BAT one and recently went to install it. I found that the casting did not have enough metal in one spot to machine the recession into, leaving a gap where the thermostat would normally seal against. I ended up having to beat my stock one straight and reuse it. I'll post a picture of the...

Re: Aftermarket emergency hand brake handle?

Wow, that's far more aftermarket than I want. I'm just looking for the rubber part. That thing looks fluid operated! I found most of the stuff, Mike; but I'm still missing both sets of caliper mounting brackets. I'm looking to do that upgrade soon now that I have the car out again.

Aftermarket emergency hand brake handle?

Does anyone know of someone who sells an aftermarket emergency brake handle for the XR? Something aluminum, chrome, or CF? Maybe one for another car will fit on? My search has come up empty, the archives didn't have any info.

Re: Need new throttle cable

Hi Mike! Yes, I'm hoping to get the car out for a full season this year...and maybe even get it to Carlisle. If you do have one, I may take that cable off your hands...I'm overdue for a visit, anyway.

Need new throttle cable

Hello all. I would like to replace my throttle or accelerator cable with new, but I have not been able to locate one. I've looked through the archive, but didn't find much information other than the Turbo Coupe uses the same cable. I currently have a 120deg rotated intake and SC thottle body. Since ...

I just cancelled my reservation 1 minute ago, for the 3rd and 4th. So hopefully someone here can pick it up. Have fun!

He does have a point, either way, I'd still buy a "riceboy" inverted cowl hood if one was ever produced.

I prefer inverted cowl. I think the bubble would make for an ideal blend into the front of the hood - I've been fantasizing about that for a while now... Agreed, I'm for the inverted cowl style. And I would be all for buying one, it'd be the perfect time for me cause I'm repainting my car th...

I like a mixture of 2! The RS500 wing, molded to the stock bi-wing lower part. I plan on doing that really soon. This set up can be seen on Phil Marshall's car.

Re: ...

Thanks Pascek and 88_WRC_Replica for the info. And Pascek, how much of a fender flare is required to make that front bumper fit snugly? It looks really good. I might just do that, and get other ground effects pieces later. Well, the bumper sticks out about 1.5-2" towards the rear. I've been lo...

Yup, or at least one that looks exactly the same. I borrowed it from ford, but I got the one for the ranger 2.3 because I have the ranger rollers in my XR and they are wider than non-roller. Works pretty good.

Re: Body Kit...

Does anyone know of a body kit for the XR4Ti's, aside from the Rapido wide-body kit (blue in pics on Rapido site), the Cossie parts, and the Erebuni wide-body kit? I've been looking for a "ricer" style kit for a while now, to no avail. use cardboard. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA   Oh, I bur...

It is generally noticed if you have eliminated your cat or installed a bigger exhaust also. My xr's didn't do it until I installed the larger exhausts. ironically when I put the 3" CAI on the RWB car it calmed it down quite a bit. I agree with this, I have a bit of a studder at 4k, but it got ...
