yeah, do it!

I'd like to see some pictures and prices. My wife would kill me if I brought home another, but better to ask for forgiveness than permission. ;)

Re: Anyone who has done a t5 swap

I put the shifter handle on the right side of the shifter rather than the typical left side as installed in a Mustang. Helps center it in the console.

Re: Airbox Alternatives?

are you wanting to use it with an engine swap or with the VAM? I used 2 90s plus that roughly 70 degree pipe to put the filter just behind the opening in my cosworth bumper.

Re: So, maybe turbo time...

When I worked for Banks we would supply that same style heat shielding with the exhaust systems. I never realized it was so expensive. I should have kept some of the extra stuff they tossed out. I got tons of take off diesel intercooler pipes, couplers, T-bolt clamps, and intercoolers while I was th...

Re: T-5 Swap - what handle?

I have a pro 5.0 shifter and purchased the Steeda Tri ax handle separately: https://www.steeda.com/steeda-triax-mustang-shifter-handle-555-7153.html The general idea is that it moves the shift knob back a bit so you aren't busting your knuckles on your stereo in 3rd. That is what I used for a while...

I'm beginning to read this thread. It's a damned shame that Photobucket is what it is now. Pics don't load, but an endless stream of ads does.
you need to use chrome with the photobucket hotlink fix extension. Most of the images will be displayed.

Re: Just got an 86 XR4Ti

I think it may have a round tooth belt set of gears on it. The aux gear appears to be a 3-spoke round tooth piece as well. Only question is if it has the round tooth crank gear. It may just have the incorrect timing belt (correct for the year, but not correct for the aftermarket gears).

M50 sierra swap. Gives you an idea what may be involved in any I6 swap. This one is a bit extreme though. :)

Re: 3-Door RS Cosworth hub bolt pattern?

The caliper is different all together than the turbocoupe caliper. The Cobra and GT/V6 used the same caliper, but had a different caliper mount and axle bracket. In order to account for the rotor thickness, the cobra used a thinner pad vs the GT/V6. I used a GT rear caliper and caliper mount on my 9...

Re: 3-Door RS Cosworth hub bolt pattern?

On the other hand, the Vargas caliper seemed to work fine with heavier Mustang Cobras. Then again, they deal with a smaller diameter rotor than the TC, which requires larger rotors for its greater overall weight, right? 1993 Mustang Cobras use the same rotor and caliper as the turbocoupe. 1994-2004...
