Re: 2.3L head flow data

for reference, Honda K20A2 head I flowed my head today and I thought I would share the data with everyone. These are baseline numbers. The head is a bone stock k20a2, stock valves, no valve job, no porting. These numbers were taken on a Superflow 600 at 28 inches. Also these numbers are corrected al...

Re: Tach testing

So does the XR tach take 12v or 5v? I have a signal generator that can change duty cycle and frequency, but not voltage. I have an ATX power supply breakout board that will give me 12v, 5v, and 3.3v. I just need to know what I feed the tach with on each of the posts. https://www.amazon.com/gp/produc...

Re: Scorpio Tachometer and Speedometer Diagnosis Tool

How about this for the signal generator? Eliminates the need for a multimeter. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HKHW98L/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07HKHW98L&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzRUlWV1JGTURJSkZJJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDQ2NzczMjNFS1hXVUxQV0xKQyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDY4MjY3MUVaUElKVE9VS...

Re: XR & Memorabilia AUCTION

Wow, either those cars had declined some or the buyer got a HUGE bargain. Biggest bargains ever. I looked the the other stuff in the auction. IMO, it's a bit too high-falutin a place to sell a Merkur. IMO, BAT is the place where one goes to sell an oddball car. Could try to sell it here, but this p...

What is the homelink transmitter do/for? Built in garage door opener?
yes, typically has 3 buttons for garage/gate openers. A nice touch for cars that park in the garage, but a security risk for cars parked in the driveway (if programmed for the garage).

Re: one piece drive shaft balancing

I had asked about the driveshaft adapter earlier and didn't see a response about it. It may seem trivial, but it's an important question. I purchased an adapter and had bad vibrations when I installed the 1-piece mustang driveshaft. This was after I had made sure the angles were good. i took the dri...

Re: one piece drive shaft balancing

Are you using one of the driveshaft adapters on the diff? You want the angles between the diff and trans to be within 3 degrees of each other. I have about 1.5 degrees. The diff isn't really adjustable, so it's a matter of shimming the trans mount or the engine mounts. I ended up pulling my shims ou...

what were your settings on the Koni shocks? You may also try removing or going lighter (back to stock) on the rear bar.

Re: Anyone DD theirs?

I have daily driven my XR for periods of time. I'd love to daily it now, but my commute is solid bumper to bumper traffic for 40 minutes each way (total 50 minutes to go 15 miles). Not fun with a stiff clutch. My explorer is much more comfortable for that. Make sure the cooling system and brakes are...
