Re: New Member Here!!!!!

Sorry Ed, I don't do rasins, but if you're really nice to me, I might bring you some sugar cookies. We're going to DC later this month for baby shower, maybe we can see you on the return trip. PS Always amazes me that people don't take me up on the FREE 1 yr membership offer. I'll have to get "manag...

Re: New Member Here!!!!!

Hi Niko, I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is he gave you his beloved XR, the bad news is he infected you with Merkuritis. It's a permanent affliction that you'll never be rid of, even years after you don't have the XR, it's pleasures will still haunt you. Ok, on to the good stuff...

Hi John

Sorry, unfortunately I don't have any info on Nigel in the MCA membership. Suggestion; do a search on his posts and maybe you can find someone who had conversations with him and has his ph #.

Re: A4LD... What's out of adjustment?

An idea - for what it's worth. Had two Scorpio a4lds. Told my tranny guy, who specializes in Explorers, make me a good one. Rebuilt, installed, but didn't shift quite right. He swapped modulators. For years, drove it around Philadelphia and 60 mi interstate home weekly. Jeff Herson drove it to Chica...

Re: Alternate Spare (Donut) Tire - Mercedes or ???

The well is deep enough to accommodate an OEM wheel & tire. The limitation is the "bracket" at front of well. I often wondered about the "bracket". I'm presuming it makes the structure more rigid. Is it only be on US cars to meet safety regs? Do European versions have the "bracket"? Could it be cut ...

Re: Manual sunroof conversion

I've used a xr crank to adjust sunroof in my Scorpio. I removed the motor and track assembly for a thorough cleaning and lube. It takes a bit of effort to move the sunroof with the crank. I don't remember anyone mentioning having sunroof "motor" problems.
Why do you want to delete motor?

FYI When you're signed in, select your name, then Profile. Enter your city and state. City & state will display under your name in all your posts. When buying or selling parts, having your city & state will often increase the number of responses to your post. And you should post in the Classifieds ....
