Re: Front brake lines

The hard lines at all 4 corners are a female connection, so a Male on the soft line is required. Sounds like you have the correct lines. Do you have any pictures? Later cars got the extensions to attach the hose on the front subframe, while the earlier ones went through the wheelwell.

108mm bolt pattern stub shaft flanges? Or 100mm?
From the FB pictures, looks to be the 2wd/108mm stubs. He does have the 2wd outer stubs to match if needed I believe. Disc brake only (Scorpio or Euro Sierra).

Re: Photo of the rear seats folded?

Any means of keeping sunlight off the seats is good. Might I suggest tinting the rear half of the car? Keeps glaring eyes away as well.

Re: No adapter Big Brakes

Thanks for looking into the earlier stuff. I'm curious on the difference in the offset. Hopefully easy enough to just get a slightly different spacer. With the M12 bolt, no modifications needed as I get a 1/2" Spacer and bore it out. Reason I actually like the 12+ Focus is I found a good thread adap...

Re: Rear disc brake kit 11" NEW DESIGN

Tim do you offer a complete kit for the rear including rotors? I would want the rotors to be drilled for both 4 lug and 5 lug as I will be doing a 5 lug conversion at some point. That can be done. PM me and we can work out the details. I left it open to people as trying to hold inventory for such a...

Re: Rear disc brake kit 11" NEW DESIGN

I only have 4 more complete kits left (Brackets, bolts, hoses, and parking brake cable). These come with my Version 1 of the hoses that are a simple static fitting at the caliper.

I also only have 2 more of the front hoses.

Message me if interested.

Re: Will a complete Scorpio rear end bolt into a XR4ti?

They are definately spherical, both the original ones and the Graham Goode ones. The angle that the bearings can make is not very big, but it is big enough for the application. The movement of the arms is without any binding in the bearings through the whole suspension travel. The Sierra was indeed...

Re: Will a complete Scorpio rear end bolt into a XR4ti?

They are sort of stock bushings for a Cosworth, which actually uses a spherical bearing as standard. The original Ford ones are no longer available though, but Graham Goode Racing in the UK remanufacters them. https://shop.grahamgoode.com/rear-trailing-arm-outer-bush-sierra-escort-cosworth-2wd-4x4-...

Re: Will a complete Scorpio rear end bolt into a XR4ti?

The sweep angle of the rear arms is changed from the standard 18 degrees to 6 degrees. As a result the camber and toe change under compression and droop is much less. The rear camber change on a Sierra is quite a lot and reduces traction in a straight line. The toe change on the rear pushes the car...

Re: 11" Brake Rotor

Went junkyarding today and came across a 2016 Focus with minimal miles - there was no lip on the rotor at all. So I came home with a pair of front calipers and rotors which I'll be mocking up on the PartScorp this Spring. I had forgotten about Tim's suggestion of grabbing the brackets from the 2005...

I have a scorpio Cosworth rear setup laying around, not used since was told from pepole Been in the game long time, ...

Re: Will a complete Scorpio rear end bolt into a XR4ti?

Correction on the brake disc measurement: stock Scorpio and Standard disc Sierra is 253mm (9.96") which is the exact same as the standard focus from 99-07. Only the Cosworth cars got the 273mm (10.75"). XR STA hole size is 81mm (81.4 or so actually). The Scorpio is 82mm for the first 4mm, then opens...

Re: Shopping for the XR4Ti for Christmas

How are your beam mount bushings? If they are OE, or even brand new rubber, your poly diff mount will fail in short order, so it will take the majority of the force. Those need to be replaced with good poly, or even solid bushings.

Re: Proper Brake feel (and wheel questions)

Even the stock caliper pistons were a little over sized for the car interms of hydraulics. Mid-86 saw the larger master cylinder (15/16" to 1"). 1/16" doesn't sound like much, but it is about a 14% increase in area, which is not small. Back on topic, not really sure where air could be if you bled th...
