Re: 88 & 89 parts

Moonroof & motor $150 + shipping unless you come up to get it. Interior on both cars are grey. Cowl, I assume you mean around the steering colum? $10 + ship. Tps $10 + ship. What would shipping for the moonroof/motor be to 36305? The cowl I mean is the leaf catcher near wipers. I would also wan...

Re: 88 & 89 parts

I really need a good moonroof/motor/trim.

I also need assorted black interior pieces including a driver seat.
Cowl pieces if they are good

I wouldn’t mind a tps and a pigtail either

Master cylinders should be popular if you pop those off

Re: Apparently Im stupid.

I had an '89, black. Bought it used. Drove it for a few years then the wife ran a red light and t-boned a delivery truck square in the rear axle. I don't think it even scratched the truck, but bent the frame on the Scorpio. Fairly cool car, but that 2.9 was notorious for having cracked heads...…......

Re: New Scorpio. Thinking of a turbo

That’s some interesting ideas about the bottom end. Worth peaking into as I’m guessing I could find a highly desirable 2.9 pretty cheap if I’m patient😂😂 The concern I would have is the heads though. I haven’t been able to find any flow data on stock or ported heads but I’m guessing I wouldn’t be sup...

I wouldn’t use the stock ecu

I have a Holley Commander 950 leftover from another project

Re: New Scorpio. Thinking of a turbo

What I’m doing is cheaper than trying to buy a whole wrecked car that would still need a control pack or whatever

If I went that route of a wrecked car I’d also do the 4.0 v6 just for the lineage.

I already have a Duratec I’m putting in the XR.

Re: New Scorpio. Thinking of a turbo

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=b6bq9aOk2qQ So this guy claims to have a stock bottom end Plenty of people turbo cast piston motors everyday(you’ve heard of turbo ls1 swaps I assume) With that stuff in mind I feel like I might be ok I plan on using a Holley Commander 950 I already own for management T...

Re: Apparently Im stupid.

I haven't actually picked the car up yet. It's in Peoria. I do that next month on the weekend of the 18th. I'm sure getting it to run won't be too bad. The interior seems "partially disassembled with a pile of extra stuff in it" in the pictures. I can't complain, the price was right. Just ...

Apparently Im stupid.

I don't learn my lessons.

I'm on my third XR4ti and now have decided I should totally get a Scorpio. I found an 89.

It doesn't run and the interior is a mess.

What's the worst that could happen?

New Scorpio. Thinking of a turbo

I just got a new 89 Scorpio. I've searched and searched there isn't much info out there. I was just curious if anyone here has turboed their 2.9 Scorpio. Ive only found rangers in the USA and some Capris in Sweden. Beyond that Ive just seen some references to old and expensive turbo kits in the UK t...
