Masterpro is a sorry brand IMO, house/cheap brand. Get a BWD, Bosch, or Motorcraft OE one. That one isnt worth 31$ from Ebay, I'd pay the extra and get one from someone you know can honor a warranty,

Check signal from the ignition switch. Solenoids on these go bad after sitting for any length of time too. Better than replacing a starter though, only 180 models of Fords used fender mounted solenoids, so they're still cheap and plentiful.

I usually turn an engine over by hand too if it's been sitting a long time, after changing oil and other fluids. Slap a socket/wrench on the crank and turn her over a few times (ignition OFF!). Don't forget to remove it before actually trying to start the car tho. LOL... I did that once.. Thank GOD...

I stand by my original post. Put GOOD fuel in it, determine GOOD inter-cooling, GOOD fuel supply, proper timing, and you'll be fine. I'd only use the knock sensor if I was stuck using poor fuel.
