Bought a 6° from UK. Not installed yet.

Re: Wheel bearings, tightening direction verification

They are backwards to what you'd expect based to wheel rotation.
In fact, make sure the dust caps are secure when you're done to void the excitement I had on a wintery mountain freeway.
Or swap sides so they're on the "correct" sides.

Re: New car! Focus ST

I'm fairly certain mine is going back in next week to have the steering looked at. After a few minutes of highway driving, when you make small corrections coming off center, the steering wheel "gives" and jumps to the direction you were correcting towards. Then you quickly try to make ano...

Either your left control arm or beam is bent. Odds are higher on the beam. Replace or bend as needed.
Beam itself, or the arm mounting ears? They're like tissue paper.

Re: Merkur XR4Ti heavier then Sierra XR4i

Yeah, if IIRC, the 2.3L would have to be lighter, because in stock form a Turbocoupe with manual trans is 10 hp peak less than the 5.0L T-Bird, yet the 2.3L Turbo is actually faster. The only way the less powerful of two cars that are otherwise the same can be faster is if its lighter. Assuming the...

Re: HELP!! Oil pressure gremlins!

The purpose of the oil cooler is to cool the oil. While it's doing that it holds oil - that is volume additional to the engine.

Re: HELP!! Oil pressure gremlins!

Is it possible that most of your oil would be in the cooler/ lines/ engine, rather than the pan? you may have to add an extra quart because of the modifications. Not a bad idea - unless there's a check valve in your cooler it would drain back into the pan once shut down but may hold a quart or more...

Re: Coleman Milne Minster - Stretched Scorpio

Rear doors look stretched a bit as well as being squared off - probably about a foot. I've seen some MkII's and "frog eyes" listed before, in both 4- and 6-dr (and more than a few hearses), often with raised rooflines but always in black. Don't recall seeing a MkIII. I saw (once, briefly) ...

What you're looking to do requires beefing up the pedal box/firewall.

Always thought France, Holland and Belgium were part of "the West". "Adolf Hitler . . . certainly didn't erode his people's liberties . . ." - my Mom grew up in WWII Germany; you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The SS/Gestapo spied on everyone, controlled their mo...

Re: The enduring, dangerous legacy of Winston Churchill

Two points: Our technology after WWII came from the same place as the Soviets - our Nazi scientist gave us both the moon landing and LSD experiments on US troops. Pearl Harbor involved info not being shared, and what was not being stressed; Macarthur's lack of preparation in Manila definitely was co...

I would expect the header to crack before the turbo goes, but you still end up chucking one good component with one bad.
