I thank everyone for their insight, the 351 I have availible is from a early to mid 90's f250 with a carb not fuel injected, keeping wiring work to a min. I think I will snag it up... it runs stronge but the truck is good ole northern rot out. if anything I have two engine stands, the 302 is on one ...

I have a 302 to put in a recently aquired 87 xr... and I was pondering... 351W block is the same just differant heads... changing things drastically to save a few miles per gallon really isnt that economical... Just like tools... leave the car do the work for you. a manual is awesome for keeping your speed in range and when slowing down... but even if an automatic... you can still switch gears. deleat fast accellerati...

Ok... seems either Ive become brain dead in feeling boost or something isnt working properly... I am saddened... Replaced original comp with a repinn la3 with a larger vam, reset timing, plummed for cold air... disconnected ks ... no ic pliping yet.. but here is the thing... yes it idles better and ...

Mine did the same thing. I took off the idler air control valve, hit it with some brake clean on the slide piston to loosen up the carbon and whala no more near stall when coming to a stop.

Yhea its a dual stage boost valve that runs off a toggle. I run 10lbs at everyday and 15lbs to play. Havnt bumped it up at all from when I did the la3, large vam swap as I dont have the ic plumbed but will prolly run 10lbs and 18/20 depending on the oveall 'feel'. the dual stage wasnt much more than...

Wish had the funds for the euro lights... and funds for new wheels too. goota do brake upyy in front befor wheels though... anyone ever run across some decently priced let me know. :) I will have to do a sound clip the quads actually give it a unique tone. :) thanks for all the veiws:)
