Re: FS: 1988 Rosso Red XR4Ti T5 Manual

Re: 88 XR Build Thread - Rose

Keep working on it - you'll feel like you need to get more for it and then never sell it! I'm only just now noticing your very first post that shows the Cub Cadet tractor? Early 70's? We had a ~'66 102 that my Dad bought new. He offered it to me circa 2002 and I just let him trade it in. ...

Re: 88 XR Build Thread - Rose

Despite trying to sell my car, I continue to work on it unnecessarily because I'm a sicko. Finally got my SVO valve cover and ranger gasket installed. Looks awesome and was drilled out for the larger breather with a nice new snug grommet. I had to buy a new Stant quarter turn oil cap which fit terri...

Re: Tach testing

You need a a 12VDC power supply and a Function Generator that can produce square waves with a 10V+ amplitude. I thought I had it shown somewhere but the 3 posts on the back of the tach are 12V power, Signal, and Common. Your signal common and power supply common will both hook up to the same post. T...

Re: FS: 1988 Rosso Red XR4Ti T5 Manual

Thanks for the nice words guys, it definitely won't kill me if it doesn't sell. I do understand that part of the allure of these cars is a fun, inexpensive cost entry to a project so selling it for what seems like a reasonable price(I said OBO!) could be difficult.

Re: 88 XR Build Thread - Rose

A few recent updates: In an attempt to reinstall AC, I needed run a stock intake and to put my 3g alternator back to stock position. that becomes difficult with the 2wd intercooler and serpentine tensioner pulley so I had a local shop cut the driver side port down just enough to allow a clamp and Ti...

WTB: dual belt serp crank pulley

Wondering if anyone has a either a single bolt dual serpentine belt crank pulley out of like an 88 turbocoupe or a similar 4 bolt pulley with hub(does the hub install with the oem single bolt?) from a 4cyl mustang with AC that they'd like to get rid of. Thanks!

Re: Recoloring/rejuvenating Interior upholstery?

Thanks Guys. Kinda' contrarian to think that "spray painting" fabric wouldn't gunk up, or look blotchy, but you're not the first I've heard tell it works. I see from their website that Leatherique is primarily for leather, but they do have a carpet dye. You used that on fabric SVT seats, or were th...
