Re: Master cylinder upgrade, which one do you guys like?
Using PBRs on Front - T-Bird Disk set up on back with the original 87 Master Cyl. No problems with pedal stroke or feel. or rear lock-up in a panic or Oh s.... stop. In my opinion, for a street-car, more than enough stopping power.

Re: Rough Shift in Reverse
Before shifting into reverse, directly from neutral, shift into 1st or .... and then into reverse. That stops the little gears from spinning and making that awful expensive noise. The real fix is new clutch, throwout bearing, new cable and clutch quadrant. However engaging a forward gear first shoul...

Re: brake upgrade question
If the fronts are staying "locked" or not releasing - something else is going on. If these are rebuilt PBRs the should apply and release without a problem. If there calipers are from previous owner/car residing in a wrecking yard, well ..... Next, maybe look at the master cyl. However gut ...

Re: forge bov question
Clean it - grease - renew the o-rings from time to time and it will serve you well. It will hold what a T3 or T4/T3 combo will toss at it, within the confines of optimum waste-gate setting for the turbo

Re: terrible bog before boost hits!!
Vacuum reading of 10@ at idle seems very low - what altitude abv sea level are you at? Although you've checked cam timing, I would start there again - then block off all vacuum connections from engine to ... check vacuum at engine - low vacuum reading demands an explanation or so it seems to me. The...

" reduced parasitic power draw" Yep, Ya gotta watch them Parasites!!! Give them a few HP and they will try for more...... On a more serious note - some of the new car evaluations/wriite-ups say that "road feel" is lost with the electronics. Don't know, but I do like how the XR4TI...

Re: New Shorty Aluminum XR Radiators in Stock!
The short aluminum radiator and the 2wd Cossi intercooler make a great street combination. To improve piping on the 2WD Cossi intercooler, shorten the straight discharge pipe on the cooler and weld on a 2 1/2 90 degree angle - piping to the stock throttle body is very easily accomplished. This also ...

Re: One last question for today, ignition module relo kit e
My recommendation would be to purchase the relocation kit, recommended on the other TFI thread! Cheaper and a known vendor.
Re: TFI?
FWIW The TFI relocation is something you can do yourself, or you can buy a pre-made kit from someone. I used this kit: http://mccullyracingmotors.com/index_files/tfikits.htm Although, I had already remote mounted the TFI, after reviewing the above web-page, I wanted to look closer at their wiring pa...
Re: TFI?
Symptoms of a TFI - failure! They die in various ways - sometimes all at once, others slowly with various signs. In my opinion the Motorcraft is a cut above parts store versions. Either way the TFI gets hot all on it's own, even without adding engine/dist heat - you might consider a remote mount wit...

Space ideal for two 2 1/16 gauges - Oil pressure and accurate water temp. Granted higher would be better for ability to read gauges quickly, but not a real problem.
