Whew. False alarm. Seems the owner installed a new shift boot in his Capri and it got in the way of it shifting properly.....

The link provided happened to be where he had his T9 rebuilt.

It was a Merkur shift boot by the way :)

He's got it fixed now. Thanks for all the help.

I'll believe it when I see it. They've been talking about getting rid of the Mercury brand since the early 90's when i was working at a Mercury dealership.

Hey, at least when the finally revive the Capri name it will be a Ford Capri...Like it should be :)

New T9 won't shift properly

A Capri owner has an issue with his brand new rebuilt HD T9. Can anyone help him?? "As of tonight I can only shift into second and forth gear. I cannot shift into all the gears that are in front, which is R,1,3 and 5. It feels like there is something mechanical blocking the shifter. This is a n...

I know your right, but that might be the biggest I can afford. I can't go wider. there isn't enough property.

I could make it deeper. It's two years in the future at least. No point in worrying about it.

Thing is I don't consider them garages. Most are rooms to keep cars....not to work on them. One day I'll have a garage. 24x36 with 13 foot ceilings. It will have some area that is just for relaxing... I have a dream....just need the $40k to go along with it. Once I have the space, I might have to bu...

Wow, these cars hide rust waaay better than a Capri.

The car looks surprisingly decent on the outside and inside too...

I've been in the car guys. That white one you have is a much better car...just get rid of the slushbox

I guess I'll give it a try at the price of caliper rebuild kits.

For Capris caliper rebuilds are hit or miss. At least when I'm done they will look pretty!

I considered rebuilding as well. I have someone who offered me free calipers, brackets and such. Since I have access to media blasting and cadmium plating for free that's a viable option.

Do people have good success with DIY rebuilds?

Sourcing stock XR Front Brake Parts

Believe it or not in the UK stock XR brakes are an upgrade in a Ford Capri. I'm trying to find the best places to source Calipers and Rotors. At the moment EBC rotors are bit out of the price range. There are some Ebay specials out there, but I'm concerned about where they come from. I'd like to get...
