Re: NSS hook up
I needed a NSS to pass inspection. I picked up one from a Ford Focus, fabbed up a bracket and wired it in. It's a plunger style that disables the starter unless the clutch is depressed.

Re: Mustang Rear Brake Caliper Swap?
Thanks for all the replies.
The seller wants to sell the complete set so if he accepts my (lowballish) offer I am no further off than just purchasing fronts only.
Worse comes to worse I use them as cores on a purchase of a different set.

Re: Mustang Rear Brake Caliper Swap?
From a 1999 V6 Mustang-from my understanding it's the same as the V8s.

I can just make out the VARGA on top.

Re: Mustang Rear Brake Caliper Swap?
Yes. I just wanted to know if it has been attempted. Sounds like uncharted territory?
Like Dave Hester says-if it goes cheap enough I will be a player.

Mustang Rear Brake Caliper Swap?
I have tried looking but the search feature ignores "rear" as a search term; is it possible to use the rear disk brake caliper from a 1999-2004 V6 Mustang on an XR4? There is a local seller looking to sell a complete 1999 V6 Mustang brake setup (front PBRs) but I want to know if I should p...

Re: should I add an ACT sensor?
A standalone ECU is like a Megasquirt (MS) or SDS computer-replaces the stock computer and is user-tuneable.

Re: Synapse BOV Question
Thanks for a lot of useful advice! I was fully aware that the Synapse stays open at idle. It makes sense that it would vent when the turbo (even at idle) is feeding air against a closed throttle plate. Second, about the sucking in of air-I found the following from the Synapse page... First of all, B...

Re: Synapse BOV Question
Well I went back and checked all my lines and found a disconnected vacuum plug. Re-attached it and ran a vacuum source from line A only leaving line B open to atmosphere and I have success! I will go back over things again and fix up a few things I am not thrilled with (like re-using vacuum lines an...

Re: Synapse BOV Question
The Synapse is designed to be open under low load conditions to vent air that would normally be pushing on the closed throttle plate.
I will try to work on port A and B connections first then possibly look at re-circulating.

Synapse BOV Question
Installed a big old FMIC in place of the T-Bird top mount unit and as part of the install I also installed a Synapse BOV. When I went to start it up it ran for a second or two then it died-re start had same problem. Re-checked all my vacuum lines and re-installed them in different locations with sam...

Re: 90° Distributor Cap?
It's the output. From what I understand the SDS sends a spark signal to the MSD ignition box for every firing event which is then distributed by the, uh, distributor. But the wasted spark coil fires alternate sides of the coil so I would need some way of taking that spark signal and alternating it t...
