Engine Bay photo (s) request

As I am working towards reassembling my 1:1 scale model XR, I was hoping a few members could offer some photos detailing the driver's side of the engine. I am interested in the wiring harnesses and fuel line arrangement especially, an ideal shot would be from the driver's side fender toward the inta...

I see the problem in the first photo, it seems your gear oil has become magnetized and it's pulling bits of your spider gears out of alignment. Kind of like when all the magic smoke comes out of your electrical system. Electronics won't work when they run out magic smoke. back on track, nice upgrade.

You're one of those nutters I read about in fast ford magazine, nice work on all accounts. That's a great looking Escort, they are somewhat familiar to the North American markets as they were sold here as a Escort GT. The driveline was nothing near as good as the Uk one though, a NA 1.9L HO with a f...

Sorry Brad, this one is beyond my skills. That white base color isn't giving me much joy as there is no reflection to make it even appear realistic.

Dude, you only made 320rwhp with Twisted Wedge heads AND a Blowzilla on 10 pounds?? I'd take it to another tuner.. Not to pull the thread off topic, but here's the background to clarify. The dyno is an MD-600 so it doesn't read as high as say a dynojet. On that particular dyno a factory stock 03 Co...

You know, just to give this thread little boot, here's a couple of youtube videos of my "other" car...

BTW these links will take you off site, and viewing in high quality if quite worth it.

Absolutely, The twin screw blower on my 5.0L displaces almost as much as my XR's engine, good handling and brake upgrades and so on. I can smoke the tires at a 45 mph roll... My Merkur project is a way to have a change of pace without buying a non-Ford, not that is anything wrong with other marques,...

That polished unit is a bit of an illusion, it's actually a free part that came in unannounced at a local shop by friend worked at. No idea about model or manufactuer, after many attempts at modding it I cannot make it fit correctly. So I'm back to using a motorad plastic replacement as the original...

Thanks for the comment, it's a candy blue finish done at the powdercoating shop where I work part time.

I haven't updated in a bit but I've been slowly re-assembling the engine compartment. I snapped a photo or two by will have to show them later.

Cheers.

I never would have gotten that one, Mitsubishi cars were not widely imported into Canada until about 2003, when dealers opened everywhere.

Thanks for all the replies fellows, lots of options for sure, just all take a little fabrication or messing about. For now I'll carry on with the open unit as this is just a DD car, my Mustang is the RR & 1/4 mile runner. This Merkur is an interesting project for sure, and has been a cheap way (...

Awesome answer, exactly what I thought, just something simple like spline count. If a person were to have all those components fabricated, it really wouldn't make it all that cost effective compared to buying a drop in unit would it? So while I'm on the topic, where can a good drop in unit be found,...

Lets talk about the XR's diff for a moment.

So I have searched but haven't found any joy. Here's the short of the question: Will a solid axle 7.5" T-lok carrier work with an XR housing, drop in, no major mods? If not, please explain in 2 sentances or less why? I figure if this were easy I'd see everyone ripping around with ranger t-lok's...
