If that's true; the Scorpio blower motor is an odd duck. In general, continuity between the commutator and motor shaft indicates a short.

The soft pedal and lack of disengagement make me wonder if the cable isn't aligned correctly with the quadrant and is 'falling off' to one side. I think that this would cause a noticeable bind against the guide tube, however. Maybe make sure that the cable is actually positioned between the retainin...

This is a bit late, but you should be aware that too much sealant on the bearing to block surfaces can leak worse than no sealant as well as screw up the bearing clearances. When you reinstalled the cap. did you make sure that the rear surfaces of the cap and block were absolutely flush? Did you exa...

I did take a peek at the resistor, seems corroded but because the car is still on stands i can't see very well. Can they be cleaned, or should i replace it? The coils are usually broken/burned through. It's time for a new one. Can also be the thermal fuse. It's supposed to blow before the coils bur...

thanks for the detailed response. got my fingers crossed that i have an LA or PE comp. the car doesnt have an IC, so chances are not in my favor. to my understanding, big vam+PK comp+no IC is ok. but big vam+LA or PE+no IC=not good. the car does run though. thanks greg Just the opposite: Big VAM + ...

I'm stuck trying to figure out your terminology. In every transmission I've worked on, the stator is the part of the torque converter which directs fluid between the impeller and the turbine. Perhaps ya'll are referring to the stator shaft which is the immobile part which sticks out the front of the...

Well, judging from the number of common 'budget' automobiles on that list; CFC was a success. People of limited income are once again enslaved to their increased debt. This was, of course, the goal of CFC: forced servitude in order to ensure that money keeps changing hands. I just hope they can affo...

My funnest was 8 MPG when it was running perfect and still had the C3. Killed the auto and the rear tires.

Cons: ECM turns off compressor at WOT so you'd need to use a different wiring method. Having an A/C compressor seize at 5000+ RPM can do a significant amount of damage. Depending on the pressure you intend to run, it is less effective than an inter-cooler due to the power exchange from running the c...

All that's left then is to decide where/how to vent the tank. Personally, I think that just letting the fuel vapor vent to the engine bay is a bad idea.

Vref is pin 26. I don't know how far away from the ECM this splits off to the different sensors. Good luck.
