Re: 3D Printing windsheild scuttle
They can 3D print big parts like that. I've ordered some prototype parts that are quite large. They're always a number of smaller parts that fit like a puzzle and then are are glued together to make one big part. Anyone willing to pay a couple of grand or more for a windshield scuttle? That's what ...

2.3T swaps
So Ive been mulling ideas over in my head, thoughts of putting a 2.3t in a third gen camaro. Mainly because I love the 2.3t and love the third gen fbody. But its got me to thinking, what kind of vehicles have you all seen with a 2.3t swapped into them?

Re: Stock boost gauge more accurate than you think?
Mine was off a few PSI when I checked with an autometer gauge. Stock gauge was reading lower. I think its a car to car basis on whether the gauge is accurate or not.

Re: Suspension
Oh really? Do you happen to know how or know a place where i can find out what I need to do? nothing from a jetta will work. The only thing I believe someone has used are the struts. Don't listen to anyone that tells you that you can use chassis/suspension parts off of a fwd VW on your rwd Merkur. ...

Re: symptoms of a blown turbo?
I see you have a dual piston bov, Im assuming from merkurdepot. If so, when was the last time you cleaned/lubricated it? They need regular maintenance to function properly. I had mine stick once or twice limiting me to 5-8 psi because it was leaking boost. I used dielectric grease as a lube for it.

Re: symptoms of a blown turbo?
He said he heard the buzzer once, Im guessing it overboosted, and cause a boost leak somewhere. Is the car intercooled? Check all your piping connections if so. If not, inspect the turbo to throttle body hose carefully. Its also possible that if your vacuum lines arent all secured that you may have ...

Re: Which turbo?
pretty sure people have hit those numbers with the stock turbo and cossie exhaust housing.
Im a big fan of my t3/4 50 trim .48 ar exhaust housing. spools nice and quick like stock. Not sure how much power I could make with it though.

plugs gapped correctly? tps at correct voltage?
If your boosting and not going anywhere could be incorrectly gapped plugs.

So Im trying to get my parking brake working in my XR. Inspection time was last week. I can't drive it till I get it inspected and have it pass. I need a working parking brake for that though. So I pull the drums, inspect the shoes and hardware, everythings good. I give it a bleed to make sure I hav...

Re: Flushing the motor?
IIRC those flushes are not safe to use on a turbocharged vehicle. I would do some more research into the product if I were you.
