Before you install repaired module check current draw by the blower motor. If the blower motor if failing it will draw more current and you module will fail again. Also check 30A fuse if it's not melting.

You are lucky that the screws did not come out all the way. It happened to me.
Use CV joint grease and locktite on screws.

About that SOHC. I also had plans to use sport trac motor with transmission. 200 hp motor far improved (A4ld) 5R55. But the way Ford modified that Cologne is stupid. Timing tensioners wear, and when its time for replacement whole motor is out of the car, because 1 of 3 timing chains is on the rear. ...

Pilot bearing? I'm i process (slow) of diagnosing vibration and clutch. For now 1st gear goes in like this 2-1 and reverse 5-R (car not moving of course). Seems to me like input shaft is dragged to much by sticking clutch or to tight input bearing.

I think Volvo head is one of the steps into 21st century. And showing Ford how big mistake they made in the 80's if they care at all.

As far i remember there is little metal tab below fuel level sender, which holds the pump and strainer assembly from falling down. Then when pump with strainer is separated from rest of the unit give a little twist to open the strainer.

If its in D and you got first gear it should have first gear in 1. Also what was the condition of the fluid before you took the tranny out? Did you make sure the converter was seated properly, if not the pump and TQ are done.

How about testing the pressure switch
