Re: Differential Front seal

This is definitely a lift job, with the car on ramps I was unable to get enough leverage on a breaker bar to budge it and my air wrench didn't have enough oomph due to a weak compressor! So on Monday its off to a shop I trust! Spent far too much time on this! Thanks for all your help.

Re: Differential Front seal

Just going in to replace the diff seal, whats the secret to draining the diff fluid? And what is a brand name for the PTFE sealant? Also is the nut reverse threaded?

Re: Question installing AEM wide band 30-4110...

Its my understanding that to get an accurate reading on a wideband, the sensor needs to be further away from the Turbo. Check the mfr or maybe stinger

Re: Blower motor resistor repair

Just don't try to solder the new thermal fuse in, soldering may ruin it!

Re: New to Merkurs - Where is this oil coming from?

Its a good chance that you have a bad oil pressure sender, a common thing to fail. Its at the rear of the engine on the drivers side. Also where did you order the PCV valve from, Motorcraft are best.

Tach reads about 50%

Tach started reading about 50% of what it should ie: 500 when should be 900-1000 and 2000 when sb 4000. Any thoughts ? How can I test the guage? Could it be the ignition module?
