Re: LS swap ideas...
I just welded all the seams in and around the cross member and added the mount perches. As far as body cutting I was able to re shape without any cutting. I did run a t-56 and I was able to get the bellhousing to clear. What trans are you gonna use? I would think using a quicktime bellhousing would ...

Re: Timbo XR take 2...or 3...maybe 4.
I had same problem. moved it to far out and it would hit tire upon full droop moved it inside and would hit the body. I was about to have Daniel fab some rear strut tower/boxes so I did not have any of those issues. And since I was running a 265/30/18 It was not helping.

Re: V-8 Swap-I think I'm going to do it
There is a really famous LS2 swap that was done with a good writeup on Merkursport(and here?) He ran stock manifolds and eliminated the rag joint on steering shaft. He fabricated the mounts He had to convert to hydraulic clutch He used a 1 inch spacer on sway bar mounts to clear the blow proof bell...

Re: Whats "wrong" with the Modern Performance cam?
That "reference" sounds a lot like Nick's ad copy write-up rather than a true reference. I've driven a car with that cam, and it's definitely more peaky than a stock cam, as you should expect of any performance cam. If you don't mind that, fine, life is full of trade-offs. Bear in mind to...

Re: LS2 in a XR4 Underway /Pics Update...
wish it wasn't damn near impossible to get one of the 5.3L truck engines through the referee. I agree. if I could just do a truck motor it would make the swap so much easier and tons cheaper. of course it would have to have a turbo on it. technically the light duty truck motors were also able to pa...

Re: Back on the road build.
believe it or not it is on the vacuum routing diagram. and if they check to make sure it is all there and its not, they can potentially fail you. I had my car fail once when the t on turbo for the waste gate actuator and boost controller had a mild vacuum leak cause i used the teflon paste and not t...
