The XR4Ti stock diff is a 7.5" unit. If you have a 7.5" case, then this is a bolt in affair with a little clearancing required on the inner left (looking from rear to front) to allow the unit to fit inside. here is a pic of mine. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_A4z2i7aOCv8/SWp3J2T65xI/AAAAAAAAEW8/D...

No, no, no, I haven't sold it, never even considered it and it's far from dead. I work for a CORR race team and had to build three trucks this season, then tune them in. Needless to say I have had plenty of other things to occupy my time. I haven't even logged on here in quite a while. None the les...

im pretty sure you need a special crush washer for the pinion gear, i have 2 of em , new if any one needs one Actually, XR diffs are easily rebuilt. It only takes 1.5 hours or so once you have it sitting on your workbench. The bearings are available at Autozone for cheap, and I don't recall having a...

3 inches closer probably which is nice for spirited driving. I can't see as much of the tach as would like (stock location 4" summit)especially with my hands at 10 and 2. I've never watch it much anyway. I can barely glance at the boost and LM1 a/f let alone watch rpms. It doesn't obscure my b...

I'm going to raise this thread from the grave since there seems to be no dipstick megathread, so to speak. I have an electronic dipstick in my '85 and it looks like part of it is busted off. The oil level light is now staying on, so I'm afraid to turn it on because I don't really know how much oil ...

We'll see how long it lasts. 50 miles and counting. I drive it like I built it not stole it. I consider tires expensive so I don't do 30 second smokey burnouts to prove a point and it will never see a clutch dump on slicks. Some drag racing with drag radials, some autox hopefully with R compound ti...
