Re: R&D Hazard Switch stock replacement

I posted a bypass for the stock hazard switch a while back. 2 Bosch relays, 2 diodes and a recycled dash switch can get you rid of the hazard mess forever. Craig Madsen just sent me a cruise version of the switch assembly to R and R. I'll report back on that as I've never tried to disassemble the cr...

Re: 3-Door RS Cosworth hub bolt pattern?

I think what John K is asking is about the bolt pattern of the bearing carrier to sta so he could use a turbocoupe adapter bracket. I beleive they are the same even though the physical bearings are larger but he was looking for input on those that know for sure.

Is that what you meant John?

Re: Tricks & tips for removing camshaft

FYI KD no longer makes this tool but it's available under the Jack Sealey brand PN VS168. This looks to be a U.K. Producer but it's still being made Jack Sealey - Sealey Valve Spring Compressor Lever Type Ohv/Ohc You can also look for Big A brand PN 17-8611 Or as you mentioned the KD version but bot...

Re: Rapido Big Valve Head

Well since this thread has been revived I guess I'll give an update. The FMS big valve heads definitely don't have hardened valve seats. I had this resurfaced a few years back and the machinist said the valves had sunk into the seats. He builds mini stock motors and said the fms head was mostly aime...

Re: Newer spare tire/wheel option - Ford Fiesta

We just bought a steel fiesta spare this summer for Joe's car. It has Stock brakes so no experience with it on a large rotor car. It did fit as expected and as I recall it was closer to the diameter of the factory tire OD than the original mini spare was. Plus it did fit the factory spare tire well ...

Re: Anyone convert to V8 carb?

I was thinking today and had the thought that if the fuel pump was wired through a oil pressure switch the pump would shut off if the engine died. This would save you from washing the engine down with fuel and help solve wiring issue. Just a thought. This is a great idea in theory but you will be c...

Re: Newbie timing belt adjuster question

Hey Craig. Loosen the idler pivot bolt slightly, that's the one the spring wraps around. Next loosen the idler locking bolt which should be a 13mm head. Next use a ratchet on the crank pulley to rotate the engine clockwise to let the slack over to the tensioner side of the belt. Once you've done that...
