My buddy had the SC61 on a Talon TSI (AWD) that I just sold on eBay. That turbo was huge and I really didn't notice too much lag at all. I think he made 330 HP at the wheels with the Japanese motor and a bunch of bolt-on's I may be wrong...but I didn't think these turbos would bolt up to our cars wi...

Well if you want to know that bad then put the stock exhaust back on your car (if it is not already stock) and do a few runs with it. Then go buy an entire 3" system, install it, and do a few runs with it. That should answer your question and leave no doubts so you can avoid those nightsweats.

I was just thinking that if I can't get that head bolt out that I would have to pull the engine out anyway, so why not rebuild at that point. Mileage was about 140,000 when I parked the car.

I am just shooting for about 300hp to the wheels. I want a street car that is respectable at the track if I ever take it there. My head has already been built at Justice Racing. It was bull ported and I kept the stock valves running the FMS A237 cam.

Rebuilding the bottom end.

Just getting ready to consider this option this summer and would like to know the recommended upgrades during a rebuild. I am a cheap ass but am willing to spend the money to do this right.

Hey Brad if you are out there to chime in on this one...Ricky swears on the T9 to about 400hp (maybe he can verify that by watching his recently acquired boost gauge!)...another guy here in Winchester with a pretty nicely modded XR4 says that the only modification that he didn't end up too happy wit...

Some people thought we would never make it to the moon. I guess the engineers that got us there didn't listen. I read the links above and they were pretty informational. What if you are running an intake plenum. I like 40bobs Plenum...but it still uses the stock lower runners, which were said to be ...

I've got an '85 that I bought for parts that had a Volvo IC and radiator. The fit was nice, but if I remount it in my other one I would like it to sit about 2" higher. There was no cutting needed for this install that I could see. The guy I bought it from said it worked great and the fan almost neve...

Maybe they were never put in. Maybe they were in that "oh well" pile of nuts and bolts when you were done. Thats just me though...I am pretty forgetful.

The best weight reduction mod you can to is to put your fat a$$ on a diet. You'll spend less money on food and your car can weigh as much less at you want with you behind the wheel. I could drop 50lbs and look like an Ethopian behind the wheel...but hey I would save money in the process.

Now Wilky's car, I would cut up my grille without thinking twice if it would turn out as nice as his did. That might be worth a shot to give it a try and fiberglass up something as nice as his...I mean my stock grill is trash-bound anyway.

I wouldn't cut if I were you...just wait and get a Cosworth Grill, you'll be glad you did. Cutting your grill is kind of like chopping your springs...its just ghetto. Unless you incorporate some type of fiberglass work like it looks like Greenturbo did it will look like crap.

Exactly why I want to do it...just one less thing to worry about breaking. Is there any special kind of Fiero rack to get or are they all the same? I have some friends who are geniuses with cars and if it can be done they can make it work.

Yeah the grass is definitely always greener on the other side of the fence. I don't know why, but it's pretty much always true in life.

Manual Steering Conversion

Ok I know I have posted about this before, but I can't really remember what I was told. I searched to no avail. Anyway I still want to do a manual steering conversion, mainly just to simplify some more of the crap under the hood. In the past year or so I have seen 2 of the European racks go on eBay,...
