Odd question.
Im in the market for a dual caliper setup for the rear. Would you be able to cut out 2 plates for 2 focus rear calipers?

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
Have you had any issues with wheel bearings on your car? Ive had 2 sets now in just 3 years. Sounds like I need to spend a little time looking to see what is out there in europe for the seirra. Also, are your lower control arms horizontal or pointed up being that low? Im horizontal right now, and th...

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
Im in CP like you. You are right, time for a change. 255/40/17 is my targeted size currently, but I believe Ben was running 235 front, 255 rear. That may be the right answer. Figured if I can get the suspension sorted I'd then work on power again in the form of a v8. Ray if you could do anything, wh...

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
True, I loved the NT01s compound on track. However for autocross, they just don't grip like the new 200 tread ware tires (RE71rs). Added to that the side wall height I choose and the 245 on a 7.5 inch rim. Just a lot of bad decisions wrapped into one setup for autocross. I like them when they where ...

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
OK, so let me know if they are all fixed now. I've made everything into shared locations. I can see them when I log off of google and view this thread. Spring rates are: ~500lb front ~400lb rear big ass front bar small rear bar Issues that are driving me not liking the car: 1. Tires are much too tal...

Re: Stage car build- It's really happening this time
Sounds like a fun build, 200hp NA 2.3's are screamers and lots of money in rotating parts to build from my understanding, but so are 160whp miata motors. "I think 87-93 mustang spindles will give me the shock fitment I need for longer travel and easier fabrication for 46mm dampers." This i...

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
Its been almost a year. I stopped my build thread for some reason. So let me catch everyone up a bit. Recap from last track day: Motor got sand in it from an intake boot splitting as well as the turbo broke its shaft. Found a "0 mile" rebuilt motor on clist. https://lh3.googleusercontent.c...

Re: "Ray's AKA demonfire's XR4Ti build up"
That's interesting. I don't think I have this issue, but I need to look as I hit the limiter almost every event now with the 4:10s.
Made any adjustments to the suspension tuning? I'm looking to change it up in the near future.

Re: Compression Strut Install
Thanks Ray, always wondered about this kit. I also always thought that the wheels would hit it if it is straight as the sway bar has a bend for the wheel and tire clearance. Hopefully this isnt the case.

Re: Gauging interest in new rear disc brackets (not scorpio)
I used volkswagen mkv and mkvi front calipers and svt front rotors. Piston area is the same as the svt focus. Great feel. This is for the front, rear thunderbird set up. Best part it the braket is simplely a 1.25x3/8" steel bar with 4 holes in it. I made it on a drill press so they would be sup...
