Dan
This line is a formed plastic line that goes from the tank to the fuel pump/fuel filter area under the car.

Carlisle-Free Fuel Line

I had a leak in the fuel return line but I think the fuel line is okay. I replaced the lines with rubber and I don't plan on using the original again. If anyone wants it, shoot me a PM and I will take it with me to Carlisle. I didn't want to throw it away before asking if anyone wants it. Not taking...

Re: T-5 Problem-Question

Hard to diagnose after the fact. It will leak out the tail housing even if the car is level. Put the DS back in and remove the top drain plug. Make sure you know which one is the drain as there is a bolt on the side that controls one of the shift gates. If you remove that bolt you will have to remo...

T-5 Problem-Question

Long post, sorry: Last year I was coming back from Carlisle on Sat and about 10 miles or so from home, I could smell oil smoke in the car. The oil pressure looked good and the water temp was good. I pulled off the road but left the car running and raised the hood and got a lot of smoke coming from t...

A funny thing happened on the way back from Carlisle

Carlisle was great as usual and taking the Merkur this year was memorable. It was nice to see everyone and put faces to the names. Anyway I drove back and forth each day, about 150 miles each way and the car ran well. I got home Saturday and smoke started coming out from under the hood as soon as I ...

Re: ca registration

Does CA have some type of antique registration? I am in PA and anything 25 years old or older, resembles stock, used primarily for clubs, hobby, etc; can be registered as an antique. I did that with my Merkur. The plate and title was around $100 as I recall but it is permanent and safety inspection ...

Re: Sold My XR

Saleen, You just have to know where to get the parts. The engine parts are easy, though sometimes you need to change a few things to make it work, like the older valve covers to a newer one. Most of the interior parts can be bought from Jeff or Mike if you don't want to try across the pond. Of cour...

Re: XR4Ti Project-New Title

Did not make Carlisle last year but I am planning on it this year. Got the car registered and I thought I would clean it up today. I put on a coat of Mcguiar's Ultimate wax. Wow, it really made that old paint look good. Could not do anything about the chips but great wax. The pic does not do it just...

Re: Sold My XR

No.... I don't think I will be.... Tired of a car that I have to park for weeks on end because I can't find parts... eg. right rear hub nut.... Some stuff is getting too hard to find and I need a car as a daily driver.... The Dub is cheap for parts (rotors $15 bucks each, I can get all 4 motor moun...

Re: omp sierra front strut brace

Hi guys, I ordered a front strut bar from OMP and its definitely not the right one. Does not clear the TB/Intake. They sent me an email stating that they only have a strut bar MA1619 for the Sierra. Would that be the correct one or not? I really dont want to get this one and realize its not correct...

Re: Carlisle Part Request

Thanks, I appreciate it. I may walk back changing it but I would like to have a 2.5" pipe on hand just in case. Likewise with the shock tower brace. I may never install it but having only one mount does me no good in any case. What you are saying about the intercooler is also logical. If I thought i...

Carlisle Part Request

I registered the Merkur this year so I will be there at least Friday and likely Saturday as well. I put this car together from parts left by the late owner so I am always looking for something. Two things I am hoping someone can help me out with are a mount for a shock tower brace, mine only has one...

Re: Unleash Your MCA Poncho...

I did not take my Merkur to Carlisle as I was only available on Saturday. It was nice to see and talk to some of the folks that helped me with parts here. I was disappointed in that I was not able to find any parts in the vendor area but if I wanted easy, I would have a 66 Mustang! Hope t...
