Re: Fuel Gauge does not work

well, I could probably do a video for removing the cluster, but when I got my car the cluster was already in the passenger seat, so I don't know how the factory trim is set up. let me see what I can do, it can't be very complicated. And yes, I always stress the "don't break sh*$" rule.

Re: Full body painting suggestions needed 89 XR (maroon)

Get on youtube and watch a few do it yourself videos. you'll want to learn how to prep first, then decide if you are still willing to do the full job.

Re: HELP!! Oil pressure gremlins!

Does anyone know how "over full" you can run at idle before the crank smacks the oil? You could probably just run an extra quart, just make sure the oil gets to circulating before driving like a maniac.

Re: Oil pressure and coolant temp gauge question...

ok, I don't need the fan switch, I have a stand alone setup for my fans. Is that the only purpose that sensor serves?

Oil pressure and coolant temp gauge question...

I was just wondering how you guys lined into the oil pressure galley and coolant jackets of your engines. I want to install a couple of mechanical gauges (because I'm old school and I like to know what my oil pressure and coolant temp actually is at any given time). I assume that the factory coolant...

Re: HELP!! Oil pressure gremlins!

Is it possible that most of your oil would be in the cooler/ lines/ engine, rather than the pan? you may have to add an extra quart because of the modifications.

Re: Photos of coolant reservoir?

Don't be so hard on yourself. It is a coolant manifold, after all. When you say "weak Saab radiator," do you mean that this particular unit has a problem? Many here have used the Saab 900 Turbo rad with very good results. It was not a "respectable" Saab radiator. I think the pre...

Re: Photos of coolant reservoir?

I was having problems of it overheating on the way home because it had a really weak saab radiator in it. I can see on the coolant gauge where the thermostat opens. I am assuming the coolant manifold is vacuum controlled by the hvac head in the car? Edit: Belay my idiotic rambling. I guess it's refe...
