Re: Toolots sale
I like to use an angle grinder with a flapper wheel (24g-80g) to sharpen mower blades. Usually a 60g from harbor freight. So they don't get too hot I just do a few passes each end then set it aside and start on the next. If you count the passes and are nice and consistent it will still be nicely bal...

American Pickers
Anyone watch that show on tv? They bought a Whizzer Sportsman and it was then completely restored. It's now for sale in NE Ohio on CL.

Re: Fuel fill & Smell
I looked at my 89 yesterday since the tank is currently out, and it doesn't seem to have that metal divider inside the filler tube like I saw on my old 86 XR. The 89 has a plastic hose (inside) that runs the length of the filler tube helping to vent air while fueling. So possibly another difference ...

Re: Need some tire thoughts
I found a shop here in town that got me a set of Toyo Extensa HP in 195/50/15 but that was awhile ago. It made a big difference in acceleration having such a low profile tire.

Re: Fuel fill & Smell
The filler tube between the gas cap and the tank could also be an issue, along with the evap canister/line. Recently someone else was talking about the slow fill-up syndrome. Most cars I've seen have that extra smaller tube that runs parallel with the main tube that functions as an air vent while ad...

So you use all the parts from the xr4x4? Would the ring gear be smaller and geared differently than stock open diff?

Re: What is this connector?
That is cool, you are OG. What would be cool is if you had the entire email list imon stuff (text and images) in a single file. A word file or whatever. Then I can host it someplace and it can have a link in the FAQ section here. Right now I can only find certain parts (topics like taurus chime or m...

The Motorcraft number is: E6AB-10D840-A2A and it appears to be from ‘87-‘91 F150 Bronco, ‘86 Topaz, ‘86-‘93 Mustang GT and probably others. Same connector as old annoying buzzer. Literally a 2 minute swap.

Re: What is this connector?
Do you have the electrical & vacuum troubleshooting manual? On page 55 there's those two plug connectors (C129 and C133) which are the dual warning buzzer terminal and the little speaker. That little blue speaker is the overboost buzzer. My wires are just dangling there as well since I have the...

If you ever come across some old pics of the setup please post. Same with any Japanese spec motorbikes, such as the Kawasaki ZXR250.
