Re: WTB XR4Ti

Just a slight bump, haven't been able to come up with anything local (or near-local). Just seeing if anyone has, or has come across, what I'm looking for?

Re: WTB XR4Ti

Stating your budget could get a few people interested. Are you looking for a stock or modified, low/high mileage, crusty or minty..... Fair point. Only based on what I've purchased them for before, I'd be aiming to stay near the $3-4,000 range for a clean example (with some wiggle room available). ...

WTB XR4Ti

As the title states, I’m probably in the market for another XR4Ti. Only mandatory thing is that it be a manual. I’d much prefer a running/driving example, as I don’t have the means to transport. If the condition and price is right, 3rd party transport could possibly be arranged. I’m located in Kansa...

Re: Merkur 'race-car' call out

Mine definitely got a fair amount of attention, especially at the euro car meets. Everyone was surprised it was more"euro" than their Volkswagen's and Audi's. But most of the attention came from older guys who had had them or knew people that did, never found someone who disliked the car, ...

Re: V-8 Swap-I think I'm going to do it

If it helps any, my buddy is doing a 5.3 swap in a 2.3 auto notch back mustang, the 5.3 (all aluminum) weighs less than the stock 2.3 setup.

Re: Sold My XR

I'm all about the vw's, have had 4 (3 mk2, 1 mk3) in the past few years. Of everything I've owned, I've been most attached to them. I don't understand the cabrio thing though, but I'm against most convertibles so my opinion isn't valid. Is it an 8v or 16? And CIS (mechanical) or digifant (electronic...

Wire Identification

The horn on my XR hasn't worked since I bought it, checked fuse when I bought it and it was good so I've pretty much ignored it until now. Anyways when I installed my new euro turn signal switch I found a couple wires I can't figure out where they go. http://i.imgur.com/vaQlR8t.jpg?1 These come out ...

I'll be honest, I haven't actually looked. I just remember the IHI downpipe I had made, figured the T3 would be similar.

Getting ready to start buying parts, my list sound good?

Since my tax return is here and I've been itching on waking up the XR, I wanted some opinions on whether or not I had a decent start point. I know for certain I'll be picking up one of Merkur Depot's radiator/IC combos, the hot side piping kit, and the silicone BOV adapter. From there I was leaning ...

Re: Picked up some parts over the weekend, questions.

the condenser and intercooler would take up the same space in the engine bay most likely. Rather then starting a new thread, has anyone adapted this intercooler to work on the XR's? I've searched but came up with nothing, I've verified it is the same intercooler that stinger advertises on their web...
