Agreed, I just saw the Taurus 3.0 sticker and thought "That aint right"?

I will have to fix compression issues then start troubleshooting. With a manual boost controller and no guage they could easily have pooched the headgasket.

Runs like dog crap and with one cylinder at zero compression It won't rev up at all

Does the ECU sound right to you guys??? The Taurus was a V6 3.0L and I cant imagine it would work right???? That marking is incorrect. It's almost certainly a replacement EEC and for whatever reason, a bunch of replacements came with that Taurus label on them. The only real question is which calibr...

Thanks for the info!!! I have a little experience with the 2.3 as we run it in the pinto but NA, no smurbo .......yet :wink: Blown a head gasket and have had the head decked and went to ARP studs with a cometic gasket. Ran 600+ miles in ~11 hours and its still good. The Merkur has ARP studs already ...

I have run the bassett wheels on a pinto I road race in 24 hours of lemons top speed 95 mph. They are not a straight wheel, seem to have a lot of run out especially side to side, even when brand new, but they do work. I think because they are used on dirt a lot the tolerances are looser.
