GT40p heads. Which requires a different header. And then, when you buy heads, you'll need yet another header, as most "P" head headers don't play well with most aftermarket heads.

We're lucky they didn't part it out to try to make their money back. Lol.

Re: 2.3t for 5.0w swap. Anyone interested?
Yeah. I'm not relying solely on this type of trade to procure the parts. Just floating it out there to see what I can find. I do know that I can find the parts on MarketPlace/CL and even the JY. But, if someone wants to do a trade, it's what I'd prefer. The only people who do 2.3t swaps aren't just ...

I’ve built a 5.0 powered XR in the past. That’s not what this post is about. I’m looking for someone who may have a good engine and trans.

2.3t for 5.0w swap. Anyone interested?
It seems I can't let go of doing another 5.0/XR swap. I have a ~75k mile 87 XR with some "ok" engine mods. (Bolt-ons...IC, PE computer, 3" mandrel bent Stinger exhaust...) Also have the T9 and short throw shifter. I'd like to find a 5.0/T5 from a Foxbody that's in similar condition. With harness/com...

Re: Light scraping/grinding noise, not speed proportional
See if you can get it up on a lift, running, in gear and see if a mechanics stethoscope can isolate the sound. Noises from these drivelines are not normal. Could be the CSB, as well. Btw, just because a part "looks new and feels tight" doesn't mean it's not at fault. Best bet: Switch to a manual tra...

Re: XR featured on Wheelers Dealers this season
I love this show! Gonna be interesting to see what road they take on the XR. That said, who gets sort of tweaked that no matter what they do or how much they make, they NEVER consider the price of the labor hours involved in repairing/modding a car? I kind of "justify" it by believing that they are ...

Here's the description from the Jeg's website. Says 10-bolt from '75-'89.

Re: Eaton LSD
Well, it's funny that you would ask that question. I did want the TrueTrac. When I ordered, Chris thought I wanted the clutch type so that's what he sent. Being that I was on the fence about which one to get, I decided to keep the clutch type. We'll see how that works for me. If I don't like it, I c...

And you'll actually save money because the C3 and T5 use the same speedo cable.

Re: WTB 7.5 Bearings and Seals
It should be the same as our own non-LSD 7.5" stuff. I bought new ones for one that I thought was LSD. It wasn't. So I have the pinion seal, the side seals and the rubber orings for the adjusters. I'd sell them for $40, shipped. I got them from Jeff at MPM just a week or two ago.
Re: Eaton LSD
Dumb question: Will anyone please share the part number for the correct diff for our application? For posterity?

Re: Post-Carlisle Survey - Your Input is Needed!!!
1) I certainly did! 2) ‘Bout the same. 3) The Radisson is a Merkur/Carlisle tradition! 4) If I’m honest, this food truck is just “ok”. There have to be better ones available. (There’s no going wrong with brisket/pulled pork. Although TexMex should have been a winner, too.) 5) The T-shirt is cool! 6)...

Re: WTB 7.5 Bearings and Seals
Well, I am also asking around for info and no one seems to have any. I have this diff, as well. Needs the o-rings replaced, which I have. I'm told if the seals aren't leaking and the bearings aren't howling to not worry about it. The "source" for info seems to be Chris Grayson at MC2Racing. He could...
