Re: Rear coil overs?
I'm running QA-1 racing rear shocks / 4/4 valving i believe with hypercoil 325lb/in, i started with higher and ended up going from 400 to 350 to 325. I'm on toyo RR's (275/40/17 originally but now am on 245's). I reinforced the STA, like you said, with additional bracing and gussets and used ARP har...

Re: "Ray's AKA demonfire's XR4Ti build up"
My friend owns Logistics CT - he has my drive and the place he trusts would charge upward of 1500 bucks - which i don't have right now, so he's just holding the drive for the time being. He tried to get thru into it (he's really, really, good) and recommended a specific place that he trusts. As for ...

I am loving this. I am also happy you went with the spec2 instead of 3 clutch. I have the 3 and an aluminum flywheel and it's a bear.

Re: "Ray's AKA demonfire's XR4Ti build up"
God, i'll have to look - i lost my old computer and thousands of images (and years of research on microbiology and presentations on soil ecology). I can take as many new pictures as you want from current, but the amount of custom stuff / home made stuff / etc is hard to explain. Even scrolling thru ...

240sx urethane flares. Hard to find - mine were shipped over from hungary, of all places. Fiberglass ones are a bit cheaper and much more common.

Re: "Ray's AKA demonfire's XR4Ti build up"
Yeah, turbocoupe. The car is pretty balanced, the front will lock up before the rears but that's normal and preferable when threshold braking (at least for me). And edit: Got my power back. Timing had indeed jumped so i changed the belt / tensioner and did index the cam to crank to aux with a paint ...

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
Wheel bearings are a wear item, I inspect mine each winter and I've only gone thru 2 sets in 8 years - so you might have some other issue going on. Lower control arms are horizontal - I had the car lower by an inch last season - I didn't like the handling characteristics. Also, remember my ride heig...

Re: We bought our first xr. Autox/street machine in the maki
V8 is going to put you in XP - i would have gone that route if nothing but for the noise, but CP in my area is like a brotherhood of friends. I'm very, very happy with the suspension setup on my car right now. I want to lower the rear geometry without lowering the car more (she's already very, very ...

Oh, that's gotta sound amazing.
Regarding the tune - are you sure it's the chip? Sometimes if the front o2 sensor fails the car goes into a panic mode and just dumps ALL THE FUEL.

What class are you running in? Sounds like it's time for a little bit a wider wheel and new shoes. I am running 245/40/17 right now - rather like that size.

Sounds like you hate the NT01's - a few of my friends run those both for track days and autoX and like them a lot. Are you sure they're the issue? What symptoms are you having with them?
