When you do the t5 swap do you need to run a svo starter?

will buying a PE ecu allow me to run higher boost without going lean?
I ask because I was thinking the other day that I modded a bunch of things on my car and turned the boost up to 20 psi but have know clue if that is save running the stock ecu.

what about in not being centered from right to left?

I finished my swap a few days ago and have noticed that the trans is a little lower on the left and like an inch closer to the driver seat then passenger. Is that normal?

the reason is price, availability and I was given the adapter plate like a year ago.

In doing my research prepping for the conversion, I have come across info that, instead of gutting the proportioning valve you can swap in the turbo coupes booster and master cylinder. my question is, will it bolt right in? if not what is involved to do so?
