Just confirmed that the missing tooth is indeed located at TDC. I'm thinking the crank pick-up is probably located 90 degrees ATDC when the factory setup wants it at 60. I won't be able to move the sensor 30 degrees, but I could try to move the toothed ring.

Do you have a means to ascertain what the static ignition timing is (with respect to cyl 1 TDC)? You have to really think about TDC cyl1 and phasing of your gear on the crank. Don't assume the other guy did everything right. Dean, you should have put this ^^^ in BOLD I think I just figured it out! ...
