Re: XR Chassis mods
Yes it's running out of fuel.
I am running a Bosch external pump, stock rails, regulator, and injectors.
I plan on getting some bigger injectors, I just haven't had time to work on the car at all.

Re: XR Chassis mods
I don't run closed loop, so you can ignore the AFR targets.

Re: XR Chassis mods
For wheels right now I have 17X10.5 front and rear. I have some old 335/35/17 Kumho V710's on the car now. They are a little too wide for the 10.5" rim, I will get some new 315's when I ready to run the car some more. I will probably get some custom 17X12 rims so I can run the 335's The car is ...

Re: XR Chassis mods
I dynoed the car on a load bearing Superflow Chassis dyno. My motor came out of the original XR that I bought for $150.00, I have not had it open, I can only imagine that it's totally stock. It probably has about 200k miles on it. I will run NASA time trials in it, in Super Unlimited class. It ran O...

Re: XR Chassis mods
I am running a stock head and cam, on 93 octane gas.
The engine I would guess has over 200K miles on it.
I will post up my MSQ files when I get a chance.
I guess one of the things helping me is the intercooler, the inlet air temp was 99 deg, at 20psi.

Re: XR Chassis mods
It's been a long time but here is a small update on the car. I have the car finished enough to go to the track, I plan on going this weekend to a track day with Tracksunlimited.net at Nashville Superspeedway. I took the car to the dyno last night to see how my tune was on the Megasquirt. I have a st...

I keep getting sidetracked with other things, Since the last update I built a car to run in the Chump Car series for $500.00 race cars. That race is over an we won't have another for a few months. In the mean time I have been working on the details of the XR. I have the fuel system put in, all of th...

Home made tubing beader
My dad was working on a fuel tank filler neck for an old truck. The filler neck was going to connect to a rubber hose so it needed a bead put on it. I built the following tubing beader in about 10 minutes out of a set of crappy chinese locking pliers I had laying around. I drilled a 5/16" hole ...
