Re: 88 Scorpio

A tip from experience with these cars: . Clean out the normal road crud that accumulates behind the wheel arches at the top of the rubber inner gravel protector. The DS arch in your photo looks unmolested by rust from behind, but you can be assured that unless the area mentioned isn't blasted clean...

Re: 88 Scorpio

A few of after...Car must have been outside under a tree for a significant amount of time, with the hatch open, all of the paint is black with tree leaves and crap, much like this black stuff that is shown on spoiler. I used a toothbrush and scrubbed with simple green, it's quite a bit better now.

. I believe when new the filter material was either a color similar to as shown cleaned or possibly another color than changes into that when submerged in gasoline over time. XR and Scorpio filter colors match, so same material. Discoloration isn't crud. There are loads of posted pics of true crud ...

It will be interesting to see if Dan's lower mileage Scorpio also shows this kind of weakness, or not. The HVAC seems to be working, not sure on the fine details just yet, but vents are moving & stuff, so...??? E The issue shown in the photo is if the internal doors (just inside of the adjustab...

Re: 88 Scorpio

Re the rubber hose, is there a longitudinal crack in its midsection? YMMV Note: I ask all these questions as to my knowledge no one else has posted pics of the Scorpio pump unit on any Merkur forum or equivalent. Jeff Herson is fully familiar about them, but not the rest of us...until now. YMMV The...

Re: Mustang ll ($600)

Do they need keys? Seems like the price is low because they lost the keys. Threw keys away cuz the car is junk... My friend has one of these and thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. A friend in high school had one that was rare, King Cobra brown/orange, but again, a total pile. 140hp ...
