Re: 1989 Scorpio FREE Ontario, Canada

So, I have pretty much zero knowledge of Scorpio's.
I'm wondering, are the seats interchangeable with the XR?

Are the Scorpio's for the Canadian market different than the US Market?

Re: 1989 Scorpio FREE Ontario, Canada

Thanks for at least considering it. I'd love for it (or parts of it) to live on. But keep in mind that this would be a labour of love as I think it's too rusty to reasonably restore to roadworthy status. Kicking myself right now! I've been considering it since you posted, just not sure on the stuff...

Re: SHOW ME YOUR FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE!!!

Pretty sure that the fitting that the schrader valve is attached to on the fuel rail is 1/8 NPT... I used to have a mechanical fuel pressure gauge there on my setup. Wait, that shraeder is removable? I've seriously never looked. Yeah, it definitely comes off. Now thinking it might be 1/16npt. But t...

Re: SHOW ME YOUR FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE!!!

You're looking online at all these fancy fittings. I did the same, and then went to my local Parker store and bought the 1/8" pipe adapter for about $8, then fit a barb on one end, a fuel hose with a pressure transducer, and then hooked my gauge to it. Overall cost was about $40, that is including t...

Re: Saginaw Power Steering Pump Conversion

Here's a thread on the Explorer forum where someone put the same Saginaw P-series pump w/ remote reservoir in a 4L Explorer. Much of the install is the same, but some is different. https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/index.php?threads/saginaw-power-steering-pump-conversion-journey.417083/ The one ...

Re: Will a complete Scorpio rear end bolt into a XR4ti?

The sweep angle of the rear arms is changed from the standard 18 degrees to 6 degrees. As a result the camber and toe change under compression and droop is much less. The rear camber change on a Sierra is quite a lot and reduces traction in a straight line. The toe change on the rear pushes the car...

Re: 1989 Scorpio FREE Ontario, Canada

I guess a concern would be getting it into the US if some were able to pick it up and bring it home.

Re: Having problems logging in? Try clearing your cookies

What's interesting is that I just had an issue logging in today. I got to the forum by clicking through an e-mail alert. From there, it prompted me to login and when I typed in name and pw it just acted like I'd done nothing. So I opened a new window, logged in, and all was fine. :dunno I did get t...
