Just because the computer shows 11's it doesn't mean that all the sensors are working correctly. It just checks to see that they are plugged in basically. When you run the codes it doesn't test the BAP sensor for instance. It has no way of knowing what elevation you are at. It also doesn't test the ...

The T9 that I pulled out of my car had 75-90 W gear oil in it. The oil was changed fom the factory oil at 50 K by his mechanic. I have the receipt for that. I drained it out at 112K. The previous owner drove the car gingerly and never beat the car. If the 75-90 W gear oil is OK to use then why are a...

DO NOT USE GEAR OIL FOR THE T-9 TRANS. The gear oil will ruin it. It needs either the special Merkur fluid or you can use a good synthetic. I used Red Line MTL and it worked OK. The new Focus fluid is supposed to be a drop in. When I bought my manual trans car it had gear oil in it and when I draine...

I said the sensors don't function differently. The 87-88 TC has a heated sensor. It functions exactly the same as the Merkur O2 sensor.

I have never seen anyone ever say that anything is different about any of the sensors between cars. Having different part numbers doesn't mean that much. Please prove to me that they are different. I have checked lots of sensors and they all function the same no matter what car they came from.

Lomike7,
The sensors are not different between the TC and the Merkur except for the ACT which can be left off with no harm, so save your money. What exactly did you do to complete the swap?
Here's the easy version:

Everything points to the Guibo. Pull the driveshaft out. Take the bolts out of the guibo, it will probably look like this: >>> http://www.angelfire.com/pa3/lyzcoinc/guibo.html >>> This guibo looked perfect until I took out the six bolts that hold it in place. Buy one and change it. Only takes a litt...

This meets all your needs. It is cheap. I removed nothing to install it. It was not complicated. You only have to bend the lower A/C line by hand a bit to do this install. My A/C still works with this setup. Total cost ~100 bucks including the Bosch valve(I have a Forge one now though). This doesn't...

You can't see the right side. The door and quarter panel were very smashed. The car was a total loss and the owner was paid by the Insurance company and he let me have it but it could never be titled.
