Bump Steer

Bored this morning and my email is down so I thought I'd post up my latest project on my XR. I have the car low enough now that my tie rods go through about a 2.5" rise before they get to the spindles. This is a recepie for terrible "bump steer" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bump_Steer So, I set out ...

Sort of a smart-ass answer (like you'd expect less from me?).... ...but did you also receive the e-mail SPAM from Erebuni trying to unload their wide-body flare kit? I'd never expect less Brad ;-). I'm looking for the cheaper solution right now. The thought of replacing a rear 1/4 is abou...

Thansk for all the responses folks! I espicailaly like the pictures of the sawzall, welder, etc. It is also the most accurate to what I did as a solution! The wheels are 17x8, 25mm offset. I have coilovers in the front actually. I have about 1/4" cleanance between the inside and the shock and I am v...

I was previously running 245/25/16, lowered, with slightly rolled fenders and was having no problems. But, with the hoosiers, they are equivilant to about a 265 as far as street tire width...

Rear Fender Rolling - Tips? BTDT?

XR World, I have to roll my rear fenders quite a bit, as I am fitting 17x8 wheels with 245/45/17 Hoosiers. What have experiences been out there in such a project? Due to the construction of the rear fender section, I fear I may have to cut the inner well, roll the fender, and then weld a patch to ma...

Much better! 8) Did you mean to go that wide in turn 1? Was that a funeral procession you ran into going up the esses? :P I see that you also start in with a much higher line going through the carosel. What happened coming out of the toe of the boot? You also struggle with the heel turn I see - fun...

OK, here's a video from my perspective. This is one or two laps before we got Black Flagged. Roughly a 2:29 lap with traffic and on street tires. I know I blew a few apexes and I don't have time to find any other laps ATM, so just watch and enjoy as the XR has fun with the rest of the field. http://...
