So I remembered this morning that one of the 13 bolts was a lot harder than the rest to tighten and took longer than the rest as well. So I went back out and pulled out that bolt as well as one of the bolts in a stripped hole. The former bolt turned to be not only a little longer, but also an SAE bo...

I know I can small enough clamps to fit in the tight space, and what I would probably do to prevent any catching on speed bumps would be to cut off what ever threading hangs low.

Help! Two stripped bolt holes on trans pan!

Ran into a bit of a problem today with the new Scorpio. Two of the bolt holes for mounting the transmission pan are stripped. They don't seem to be stripped badly, just enough to prevent proper tightening. Any thoughts on how to fix this WITHOUT drilling and WITHOUT removing the pan and starting fro...

1. How many Merkurs at Carlisle events (including 2010), have you attended? Nine altogether. 2. Do you plan on attending in 2011? If no, why not? Absolutely! 3. We're already contracted to stay at the Radisson again next year (room rates will remain the same), but is there anything you'd like to see...

Sorry I didn't get to update sooner. Although hurt pretty badly, they are both home and doing well. Thank you all for the prayers...I have no doubt in my mind that they helped a lot.

Prayers needed ASAP

Please say a prayer for my friend Larry's parents. They were just hit head on by a truck in Tunkhannock, PA, and are being rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. If you believe in the power of prayer, it's needed now.

Thank You MCA!

Every year the MCA does a fantastic job of putting together Merkurs at Carlisle, and this year was no exception. I want to thank everyone who worked countless hours making M@C 2k10 become a reality and yet another great success. I also want to thank everyone from the community just for being a part ...

Very interesting segment.

By the way, there's a possibility a Scorpio might show up on MythBusters one of these days, in case you haven't heard.

The Sapphire shares more in common with the XR than the Scorpio if I'm not mistaken, so probably the best bet would be to enter in the 89 XR class, but bring some literature pointing out what your car really is.

I have to say I really like that! It looks like a massive undertaking though. Just curious...would you badge it a Merkur or Ford?
